Day 294 of wisdom

“I don't make jokes. I just watch the government and report the facts.”

Will Rogers

It is funny how reported real life events are sounding like jokes, and jokes are even more real and factual than real life happenings. Politicians have become comedians, and comedians are now the people telling us the realities of life, and bringing to our remembrance and notice real life happenings as if they were jokes. The people who are supposed to protect, secure and provide a worthy living environment for the people who they claim to serve have become so insensitive and less concerned about the wellbeing, safety, and security of the citizenry and only interested in enriching themselves.

You wouldn't need prophetic gifts or skills to be able to tell people what would happen next in our beloved country, all you need is just the ability to study the trend of events and you will be able to predict almost perfectly the things that will unveil as if it were a scripted movie. It is not funny how a nation like ours have gone from a potential world power to become a puppet on the international stage, how we have lost all our dignity, pride, and gracefulness, and have become an object of scorn to the world.

It is not funny how people who we are supposed to run to for safety, are the people we run from for safety; how what we own are being sold to us by people we should be giving those things to as a way of showing kindness, or even earn money; how we have become so used to oppression and discomfort that we don't even care about becoming free; how we suffer but smile and are willing to continue suffering and smiling.

God will not do for man what he has given man the ability, capacity, and strength to do, He will not intervene in the affairs of two equally enabled people, even if one of them fails to realise his strengths and ability. The book of Isaiah said in the twenty ninth verse of chapter forty that, "He (God) empowers the weak, He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak." He does so, not so He can fight for them but so they can fight and liberate themselves. Fight, speak up, and let's turn our lives from costly and unpleasant jokes to pleasant reality.
