366 days of wisdom (October 06, 2020)

Day 280 of wisdom

“The fishermen know that the sea is dangerous and the storm terrible, but they have never found these dangers sufficient reason for remaining ashore.”

Vincent Van Gogh

There are no easy sails anywhere, there are only determined sailors who are ready to take the risks, and make the sail in spite of fiery storms. Life is no easy ride, the pursuit of success, and happiness is a battle that can only be won by those who disregard the fierceness of the war, but forge ahead towards their dreams; who keep their gaze on the goal rather than the barrier standing before them; who in spite of their weaknesses stood firm for the purpose for which they are here; who are relentless, and unwilling to give up until the battle is over and won.

Former Canadian ice hockey player and Hall of Famer Wayne D. Gretzky once said, "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take." you can not sit still without an actual intention to change things and expect that something will happen, you must shoot at your goals if you must have any chance of achieving it, you must take the first step to begin the journey to your desired destination if you will get there at all. You cannot wait any longer to perfect your shooting skills, you must begin to take your shots, and the more shots you take the better you become at taking the next.

You must magnify your goals and abate the barriers and challenges that tends to limit your progress. More attention must be paid to your goals and less attention to your challenges because, you give power to what you focus on. Nothing should be powerful enough to stand in the way of your dreams. Your dreams should drive you to action and keep you going irrespective of what happens.

There is calm, peace, and fulfillment on the other side of the storm, but the only way there is through the storm; darkness always rule the tunnel, but there is light at the end of that tunnel; the night is always darkest just before the day. Battles are won on the battlefields not in bases, "a ship is safe in harbor, but that's not what ships are for." (John A. Shedd); airplanes are safe in the hangars, but they are made to fly. Never get too comfortable in your comfort zone, your best life is out there go for it, and achieve your wildest dreams.
