Day 281 of wisdom
“You can't know too much, but you can say too much.”
Calvin Coolidge
No knowledge however strange, common, little, or huge is ever a waste. The human brain is so large that there shouldn't be any scare of running out of space in one's lifetime, as it is capable of storing and accumulating over one million gigabytes of information, so, you may care to know everything about everything, nothing stops you, you can know just enough but, you can't know too much. The scary thing is no matter how much you know, you can say too much, and too much of words may get one into an undesirable situation.
As humans we must crave, pursue, and strive to get more knowledge every waking day, learning should be a lifetime and lifelong process for us, there is certainly no harm in learning everyday and getting more information but there is great risk in truncating our learning process. Henry Ford once said, "Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young. The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young." in fact any one who stops learning is dead while still living.
It was Anthony Liccione who said, "A fool is made more of a fool, when their mouth is more open than their mind." people of great intellectual knowledge, and wisdom are rarely so much of noise makers, they are very much reserved and speak less unless it is very crucial they say more. Only fools say more than is expected of them. So many are those who have nothing to say but go around saying something declaring openly their stupidity, and so many are the ones who have so much to say can't because someone who doesn't have something to say is always saying something.
Better be a learner than a sayer, better be a doer than a talker, actions speaks louder than voice, if you want to effect a change in the world you better start acting towards it rather than talking about it, when people see your actions, they will join you in the race towards that desired change. Talk is cheap, the difficult thing is acting, that is why weak people talk rather than get into action, while the wise and the strong get into action without much talk. There is so much to learn and do, do more, learn more and talk less.
