Day 100 of wisdom
“Remember to celebrate milestones as you prepare for the road ahead.”
Nelson Mandela
The journey to success is through a long, eventful, and adventurous path, it is not always rosy on that path, and we don't always have all we need to run through that path from the beginning, we pick up some important tools along the way. Oftentimes, we will be faced with difficult and hard times, we often would encounter challenges that would almost put us to a grand halt, and stop us from moving forward, but our resilience, determination, and focus is harnessed to ensure we go through unhindered.
It is important for us to understand that, despite the toughness of the journey, the roughness of the road, and irregularities of circumstances, we need to be unrelenting in our effort to get to our desired destination, we need to give ourselves some accolades at some point on that journey, sometimes, we need to stick some badges to our chest. The journey is not always easy but in the end, we will always discover that it is worth it.
Every path that leads to a destination has milestones, so is your journey to success filled with milestones of little achievements. These milestones are as important as the destination itself, because without those milestones the journey will never be complete. It is therefore a necessity to celebrate these little achievements. Whenever these milestones are reached, we should bask in the euphoria of that moment, savour that moment in preparation for the road ahead.
Celebrating each, and every milestone on our path to success gives us the motivation, the drive, the confidence, and belief in ourselves, and our ability that we can get to the finish line. It reminds us of how far we have gone on that journey, and how close we are to the end, it tells us we have not been stagnant but progressive, it is a pointer that the end is nearer than when we started, and giving up is no more an option.
Cumulative small wins equals the big win. Celebrate the small successes, they open the way, and clear the path for the bigger ones.
