Life is a forward journey, and the past determines a lot of our future. When some events happen in our lives, we sometimes, don't know why they happen, we don't know why we are going through what we are going through, but when we eventually get to the point of discovery, we will understand why we have to experience those things we experienced.
In one of his speeches, the late Steve Jobs said, “You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So, you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something — your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.”
Whatever you do, whatever you have to do, whatever you are going through, you may not know the why, but you must believe, and trust that it will lead you somewhere. The future is unknown, it is a blank sheet, but the now is arrived at from a path through the past. If you will ever be happy, don't try connecting the dots into the future, it wouldn't work, but when you get to that future, the dots will easily be connected.
You must plan for the future, work towards achieving your plans, and consistently move in the direction of your dreams, you just must do your part, and believe the universe does hers. You may not get all you hoped for but you will never arrive at a destination you will not appreciate or be grateful for.
Keep hope alive, believe in God, believe the abilities He has deposited in you to achieve greatness, have faith, and most importantly work, and you will get to favoured destination.
