Day 101 of wisdom

“Let your hopes, not your hurts, shape your future.”

Robert H. Schuller

Hope is an expectation and desire for a particular thing to happen, it is the belief that tomorrow will be better than today, and our efforts towards achieving success would not have been in futility. At any moment the future is the most important time of a man's life, but he (the man) must decide, and determine what the future will look like, by forgetting whatever hurt he has had in the past and focus on taking deliberate, and decisively impacting actions on how to get to a better future.

Everyone in life have at a point in their lives been hurt, beaten, bruised, and scarred, and if one hasn't experienced these, he should probably expect it and be adequately prepared to deal with it. Tough times comes, but tough people always sail through, and tough situation build tough people. When one is hurt, he must find a way of healing the wounds, lest it remains green, and this can be done by forgetting the cause, and forgiving the one who caused us hurt.

The future must be our priority, we should not always dwell on the hurt, rather, we should live in expectation of a better life. Holding on to the hurt of the past is like looking at the rear mirror while driving a vehicle, when there is a windscreen wide and clear enough to see through for forward movement, such person wouldn't get anywhere.

Let your dreams, and visions drive you to your desires, let them be the windscreen through which you see the future. Endless possibilities are embedded in an unseen future, we wouldn't get what we want in the future if we don't prepare for it, we must see the future with the eyes of optimism backed up with actions. "There will come a time when all the things which are troubling you won’t hurt so deeply. They will become stories of growth and pride." - Karen Salmansohn.
