366 days of wisdom (April 4, 2020)

Day 95 of wisdom

“Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them.”

Tenzin Gyatso

The purpose of life is a life of purpose. Without purpose life is not worth living, and if one's purpose in life does not make someone else other than oneself live a better, happier, and easier life, then such purpose is not worth living for. It's been said that, "the best and fastest way to become successful in life is by helping others succeed."

Everyone grows by helping others grow. One is only successful in life by helping others become successful, and live better lives. Success is not in what you achieve for yourself, but in how many people you help achieve success. People need help, and assistance in different areas of their lives, and would be glad to have someone help them achieve what they dream of, and desire to have. It is in helping them, we find joy and fulfillment in our lives.

We may not always have all we need at our disposal to help others in whatever area of their lives they need help, or assistance, but we must be very careful not to hurt them in any way. We must endeavour to do our best in ensuring that we are not channels of destruction to another man's morale, drive, and visions. Our words, actions, and deeds can lift a soul, and can also be an avenue for destruction.

The most dangerous thing to do to a man is to leave him a worst person than he was before you met him, you should at least leave him in the situation you met him, rather than making his situation worse.

If we cannot lift, we should not pull down; if we cannot heal, we should not hurt; if we cannot justify, we should not condemn; if we cannot build, we should not destroy.
