Day 177 of wisdom
"Vision is the art of seeing what is invisible to others."
Jonathan Swift
Without vision it is impossible to make tangible progress, or achieve anything in life. Vision is not what the eyes sees, it is what the mind conceives. Someone said, "the eyes are useless when the mind is blind" we don't see the future with our eyes, we see it with our mind, so, when our mind cannot conceive, imagine, think, or create the picture of our desired future, we will only continue to move around in circles not knowing which way forward.
If you must see a live better than the one you currently live, if you must attain new levels, if you must experience wonders, you must be a person of vision. As rightly put by Les Brown who said, "It takes someone with a vision of the possibilities to attain new levels of experience. Someone with the courage to live his dreams." Iyanla Vanzant, also opined that, “If you don’t have a vision you’re going to be stuck in what you know. And the only thing you know is what you’ve already seen.” and what you have seen can do, and give you what you currently have: little.
Your better self, your best life, the full manifestation of what you could be, is on the other side of physical sight, it is in your ability to see what does not yet exist, it is in your vision. Your vision of the future calls out everything it needs to make that future a reality, so, without vision there is no hope, without vision their is no future, without vision life is not worth living. Helen Keller said, " the only thing worse than being blind, is having sight without vision.
The great Sculptor, Poet, and Painter Michelangelo once said, “The greatest danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it.” we must therefore shoot as far as we can, so we can become the best we can be, and live our best lives.
