Day 161 of wisdom
“You don't drown by falling in the water; you drown by staying there.”
Edwin Louis Cole
When one falls into a body of water, and gets out of it he does not get drowned, but when one falls into water and stays there then water gets into him and he gets drown. Getting drown in water is like falling down and refusing to get up, getting drown is like failing, and refusing to pick yourself back up to get going again.
Ones willingness to get out of the water, his cry for help, and assistance, his determination not to get drown are the key ingredients to his rescue and survival. You may not be a good swimmer to get out on your own but if you cry out for help, help will surely come to your aid. No one becomes successful in isolation, just like a tree cannot make a forest so, can you not do everything on your own. Whatever you hope to achieve you must do so with collaboration, teamwork, and networks as much as it would be necessary.
Success is assured when you are not afraid, ashamed, or proud to ask for help when it is needed. No one is an island of knowledge, and no one is totally independent, everyone needs someone to get to somewhere. You may have all the talents, attributes, capacities, and abilities, but you need the vehicles of progress to move forward in life. You must value the people around you, make the places you go a step towards your desires, and ensure events are a platform for your growth, and promotion.
Winston Churchill once said, “success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts” strive to continue no matter what, do not relent even after your fall, get back up, look up, dust yourself, and keep moving forward. The key to getting there is to keep moving.
