366 days of wisdom (June 13, 2020)

Day 165 of wisdom

“He who would learn to fly one day must first learn to stand and walk and run and climb and dance; one cannot fly into flying.”

Friedrich Nietzsche

Every finished goods, every product, every success story, every ending must have had a beginning, a process, before an end. This process can either be easy, or difficult, the ease could have been learnt over a period of consistent repetition, but nothing arrives at a point, or destination without having passed through a definite process.

Any one who would one day spread his wings to fly must first have to learn how to crawl, stand, walk, run, climb, dance, and then grow wings, nurture, and develop those wings before he can fly. No one learns to fly by flying, you cannot fly into flying, you must first learn what it takes to fly, but you must continue to move if you must get to anywhere other than where you are.

In the words of Lalah Delia, "Grapes must be crushed to make wine; Diamonds form under pressure; Olives are pressed to release oil; Seeds grow in darkness. Whenever you feel crushed, under pressure, pressed, or in darkness, you’re in a powerful place of transformation/transmutation." Be proud of your process.

The path of a Butterfly is different from that of a Bird, that of an Elephant is different from that of a Dog, their paths cannot be compared, and their process is different from each other. Your process is unique to you, you cannot be compared, or compare yourself to anyone else. Trust your process, stay true to it, never doubt where it is taking you to, you will definitely become better for it. It is not the destination that matters most, but what we become on the journey to our destination that is most important. Don't jump the process, follow it through, and become your best.
