Day 173 of wisdom

“True beauty is born through our actions and aspirations and in the kindness we offer to others.”

Alek Wek

A person's true beauty is not in physical, or outward appearances, but in the things that comes out of that person as thoughts, actions, attitude, dreams, and aspirations, and the kindness shown to others. The outward appearance of a man can be  very deceptive, and untrue of a his true colour. What makes one truly beautiful are the inner virtues that proceeds out of a man.

Elisabeth Kubler-Ross succinctly puts that "people are like stained - glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within." One may be physically attractive through the outward adornment of the body, but this outward beauty fades, when one can no longer be proud of her physical attractiveness, true beauty shines forth from the soul, and is devoid of external looks, and appearance.

Ellen DeGeneres once said "true beauty is not related to what color your hair is or what color your eyes are. True beauty is about who you are as a human being, your principles, your moral compass." A truly beautiful soul is one who makes someone cry, and laugh at the same time; it is one who goes out of his way to make life more beautiful for another person; it is one that makes people cry when they leave, and make them laugh, and smile when they come.

Your true beauty is revealed in your willingness to help others; your zeal to make life easy, and beautiful for someone other than yourself; your determination to be who you are truly meant to be; your fearlessness in pursuing your dreams, and visions; your doggedness in moving forward despite all obstacles, and oppositions; true beauty is in the love you show, and the care you give.
