Day 176 of wisdom
“You may have to fight a battle more than once to win it.”
Margaret Thatcher
Battles may not always be won at first try, but winning eventually happens only when, and only if we don't quit fighting. Life's battle may be so tough, rough, and unending, it may drain us of all the strength we have within, it may sap away all our courage, it may even deny us of what is rightfully ours, but, the key to winning this battle is persistence, consistence, and a never say die attitude.
The battles of life are not actually meant to destroy us but, to build us up to becoming better persons, to create in us the attitude that we need to overcome even tougher challenges. A man whose life is free of battles, and challenges is a man who is not growing, he is a man who has done nothing, is doing nothing, and will remain stagnant for as long as he doesn't decide to change. As Vincent Van Gogh said, “As we advance in life it becomes more and more difficult, but in fighting the difficulties the inmost strength of the heart is developed.”
In the words of Vince Lombardi “It’s not whether you get knocked down, it’s whether you get up.” losing is not final, coming back to fight is gives you another opportunity to win, but relenting, and giving up seals you a loser forever. One who does not quit no matter how hard it is, will eventually win.
Napoleon Hill “Victory is always possible for the person who refuses to stop fighting.” if you don't stop fighting until you win, then winning is a certainty. Life is hard, and unfair, the battles may never cease, but the harder the battle, the sweeter the victory. Never give up for victory is just ahead, you have come this far to give up, don't let your effort go to waste, get a reward for it.
