Day 154 of wisdom
“There is no limit to the amount of good you can do if you don't care who gets the credit.”
Ronald Reagan
While on campus, a very close friend of mine will always make a statement, "it is good to do good" he utters this statement so much that some people remembers him as "it is good to do good". Doing good is the ultimate responsibility of man, a man that does not do good, would not expect good, even if he does expect good, he knows he doesn't deserve it. "Whatever a man sows, he will reap"
Sometimes, people don't do good because they feel they will not be compensated, or duly rewarded for the good they do, but anyone who does good with the mindset of getting rewarded has really not done any good, but working out favour for himself. If we really want to do good, there us no limit to the amount of good we can do. There are countless helpless, and needy, people who need a lot of help, a little good to them would be a great deal.
Thomas Paine once said, "Independence is my happiness, and I view things as they are, without regard to place or person; my country is the world, and my religion is to do good." If we see the world as our country, and everybody as our brothers, and sisters we would do a lot more good to a lot more people, the world will be a better place, and people will not do harm to one another.
Suzy Kassem said, "A memorable heart is the easiest way to immortality." The easiest way to live long in the heart of others even after one is gone, is by doing good, and without discrimination. Do good, and you will receive good.
