Day 152 of wisdom
"Life is short. Kiss slowly, laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly"
Paulo Coelho
A friend once made a statement that got me thinking, she said, "life is just a long story of how one died", at first I disagreed vehemently with the statement, but on a second, and deeper thought, I felt it is true for some people, and false for some. Some people only managed to live empty lives, they came to the world and left without a trace, they left no legacy, nothing worth remembering, they never made any reasonable impact in anyone's life.
Our journey on earth is just too short for us not to live our best lives, we were not made just to pass through this earth like 'a snake on a rock' leaving no trace, no mark, no footprints. We were made for greatness, we were made to defy odds, we were made to maximize our potentials, subdue our limitations, and turn our obstacles into stepping stones. Our lives don't have to be a long story of a short trip to the grave.
The brevity of our lives does not have to limit what we can become. We have all it takes to live a life that will be an enthralling long story of a brief, and short, but impact filled, record breaking, legacy establishing life. We must live our lives such that on our deathbed, we will smile at our self, and say, "I made full use of the gifts God gave me".
Without love life would not be worth living, the world would have been in shambles, chaos, and anarchy would be the order of the day. So, we must love all human, and live a loving life. Life is short, make yourself happy, smile, laugh, love, hold no grudge against anyone, forgive whoever offends you, and leave the world having made your impact.
