Day 136 of wisdom
“Don't just count your years, make your years count.”
George Meredith
Everyday in life is a day of celebration, no day is better than another, but some days are more special. Every passing day is an opportunity to live a better life, it is a privilege to soar higher than the heights of yesterday, it is another day to celebrate. Elllen DeGeneres once said, “we should celebrate every year that we made it through and every year that we are happier and healthier.”
Someone once said, “A Birthday is a new beginning - A birthday is the first day of another lovely year, A year of new tomorrows that is shining, bright and clear, A year of possibilities as endless as the sky, and a chance to meet the challenges in everything you try.” For every new challenge, and every new day, there is a new you, there is a wiser, and better you, there is an endless opportunity to grow, and be better.
Without purpose birthdays are of no importance, a life that have not discovered purpose is not worth living. If our lives must be worth living, and celebrated, we must strive hard to discover, and live for the purpose for which we were born. William Barclay said, "There are two great days in a person's life - the day we are born and the day we discover why." We must ensure our years count for value, and positive impact, we should not only count the years, but make the years count by living a life of purpose.
However long or short a life is, what is most important is the impact it has had on everyone, and everything around. It is not the age that matters, it is what is done at every stage. As one grows in age, one must grow in knowledge, wisdom, and understanding, one must live and not just exist. We are born for a purpose we must live for that purpose.
Live, win, love, celebrate, smile, and make the best of your life.
