Day 141 of wisdom
“Treasure your relationships, not your possessions.”
Anthony J. D’Angelo
Relationships are the currency of life, they are worth much more than what money, or wealth can provide. God, family, friends, acquaintances, colleagues, etal, are our real wealth, they enrich, and empower our lives, and are very critical, crucial, and integral to our success as individuals. The kinds of relationship we keep, and have will determine how far we will go in our life's journey.
There are toxic, and destructive relationships, but there are also profitable, and valuable relationships, the ones that will push us to the heights we have always dreamt, and thought of getting to, and even to levels we don't imagine we could get to. Our relationships supports, guides, advise, and strengthens us on our goals, dreams, and visions. We should therefore be careful of the relationships we keep, because it determines how far we go in life.
We must cherish our relationships more than anything else, they are the most important things in our life, possessions are good for our survival, and sustenance, but its fraction of importance is very diminutive. If we loose everything we have, but keep our relationships, we haven't lost anything. We have the currency to reclaim, recover, and retrieve all we lose if we have our relationships intact.
Berkshire Hathaway's CEO, Warren Buffett, shared some wisdom which can be related to relationships, he said, "the most important lesson and "the ultimate test" of a life well - lived has nothing to do with money and everything to do with the most powerful emotion a human being can feel: love." Love is the foundation of every relationship, without love, you can't have a true, and valuable relationship.
Cherish your relationships, they are your most valuable currency.
