366 days of wisdom (August 20, 2020)

Day 233 of wisdom

“Nothing is softer or more flexible than water, yet nothing can resist it.”

Lao Tzu

Life does not give room, nor path ways for the hardest, strongest, and powerful ones, but for the flexible persistent, and unrelenting. One of the greatest secrets to having whatever you want to have is to have the spirit of persistence, flexibility, and tenacity. Life is hard, but as hard as life could be, the soft, and flexible can break through with tenacity, and persistence.

There is no visible, and tangible thing that is softer, or more flexible than water, yet water always have its way no matter the obstructions it faces on its way to its destination. A river will find its way through hard rocks by finding where there is a little space, and when it does not find one, it will continously, consistently, and unrelentingly beat against the rocks until a way is created for its passage.

Saint Francis de Sales adviced "When you encounter difficulties and contradictions, do not try to break them, but bend them with gentleness and time." tough situations sometimes do not require tough approaches, but flexible, gentle, patient, but tenacious approaches. We should be flexible in our approach to different situations, and circumstances as every situation cannot be tackled with the same strategy.

The hen does not get her chicks to life by breaking the eggs, in fact, if she break her eggs she waste them, but she patently, and consistently sit on it until it hatches. Nothing is achieved overnight, everything that must be achieved must be worked upon, we must wake up everyday with the desire to work, to build, and to develop ourselves towards getting to your desired destination.
