Day 227 of wisdom
“As is our confidence, so is our capacity.”
William Hazlitt
One's capacity to do a thing grows in direct proportion to the growth of their confidence. Most people cannot do a thing not because they lack the capacity to, but because they lack the courage, and confidence to do that thing. Every one has the capacity to do whatever they want to do, but the difference between those that get things done, and those that don't is their confidence.
In the words of Australian professional golfer and PGA Tour member, who was also a former World Number 1 in the World Golf Ranking, Jason Day, “When you have a lot of confidence and you feel like nobody can beat you, it’s game over for everyone else.” The only person that can beat a confident person is someone with a superior level of confidence, so, if you want to be the best your confidence level must be at its peak.
Norman Vincent Peale once said, “Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy.” your success, and happiness is tied to your believe in your own strengths, talents, skills, and abilities. If you do not believe you can, you can't.
The man who have confidence have everything, he will never see obstructions, but opportunities, he will see every challenge as an opportunity to grow, he will take advantage of difficulties, and turn them to prospects. Experience only exposes one to what to do, but confidence gives you the grit to do it. In the words of Sabrina Carpenter, “Confidence is the most beautiful thing you can possess.” So, grow your confidence, grow your capacity.
