366 days of wisdom (August 04, 2020)

Day 217 of wisdom

“If you're walking down the right path and you're willing to keep walking, eventually you'll make progress.”

Barack Obama

If there is a dream that your heart so desire to achieve, if there is a passion that so much interest you, and you are willing to pursue, if you are ready to do all it takes to get to your desired dream you will eventually get there. Success is achieved when one is ready, willing, and determined to do what is needed no matter what.

In 2009, Barack Obama became the first African American to become a President in the United States of America. It was a feat that was difficult to achieve, the world did not give him a chance, but against all odds he rose. He did not just start the  journey in 2009, he has been on the road to that height far before 2009, he had a vision, he had a dream, and he pursued that dream with hard work, and determination, until it was realized.

Abraham Lincoln was born into a poor family, he received little, or no formal education, he was taught by itinerant teachers for an aggregated period of not more than 12 months, he was mostly self educated. He was determined to have a better life, he wanted something better than what he had, he dreamt of a life bigger than the one he had, he knew he was on a rewarding path, he knew the path he was threading was towards a more pleasant destination, and he never relented until he got there.

Don't quit on your journey to greatness. If the path you are taking is right, and the course you have chosen is for the betterment of yourself, and the people around you, you need not relent, you need not look back, continue, move forward, and you will eventually reach there. Progress only comes when work is continuous, and purposeful. Dispel doubts, dispel fear, then success comes.
