Follow your path
DON'T GIVE IN TO DISTRACTIONS
Distractions are not innocent, they are disguised theives. They steal from you in small, almost imperceptible increments. They take your time bit by bit until they have taken it all away, but what they are truly carting away from you is far more valuable than time. They are stealing your focus, your momentum, and ultimately, your potential. Today's battles are not against monsters or mountains, but against the gentle, persistent current of distraction, and your greatest act of courage, your most potent form of rebellion, is to plant your feet in the sand, and hold your ground.
Do not be fooled by the temporary comfort of distraction, it is the path of least resistance, a worn-out detour that bypasses the struggle. However, it is in the struggle that growth happens. It is in the deep, uninterrupted focus that you find flow. It is on the other side of that difficult, concentrated effort that you find pride, mastery, and the person you are meant to become.
Your focus is a sacred space, do not let just any thought to cross its gate, or shift gears. Be sure to only allow things that serve your purpose, not those that steal from you. The initial urge to divert your attention is like a wave, it feels overwhelming for a moment, but it will flow away, and pass. Acknowledge the discomfort that comes with concentration, and wear it as a badge of honour, it is a sign of growth.
Distractions will always be there, they are a constant, but your response to them is your power. Let the world buzz and blink, let the trivialities wait. You have a plethora of potential within you, waiting to be unlocked. Turn away from the noise, dive into the deep end of your own capabilities. Don't give in, don't look away; build, create, and focus on your journey. The world of the distracted is wide, but shallow; your path is deep, and it leads to everything that you desire.
To a better you, Kamikun John.
