FAILURE IS NOT A STOP SIGN

Failure is not a red light that is meant to stop your progress, it is a flashing yellow light, urging you to slow down, to pay attention, to look in every direction. It forces you to retrospect, it asks you the questions you were too busy or too proud to ask yourself, and if you are honest enough to find the right answers, you will make better progress than you ever thought possible. Failure is the beginning of the story, not the end of it.

Failure strips away the non-essentials, it humbles you, burns away the ego and leaves behind the raw, unvarnished truth of your ambition and your commitment to the journey. It is the universe's most effective, but brutal, teacher. You don't learn resilience from, easy rides, smooth sails, and constant success. You don't develop grit when everything is easy. You don't discover your true capacity for creativity until the obvious path, the path of ease is blocked.

The fear of failure is a cage, but the acceptance of failure is liberation. When you understand that failure is not a final destination but part of the journey, you free yourself to take bigger risks, to attempt more audacious goals. You begin to play the bigger and more profitable game. When you face a setback that feels like a brick wall, do not see it as a stop sign, do not turn off your engine and abandon your vehicle, rather, look around for the alternative route.

Your journey is not defined by the obstacles you encounter along the way, but by how you choose to navigate them. Failure is not the opposite of success, it is an integral part of it. It is the gritty, unglamorous, essential work of building the foundation upon which success can finally, and stably stand. Your continuous and unwavering commitment to failure without giving up, is what eventually bring your success. You are closer than ever, don't stop yet.

To a better you, Kamikun John.
