Silence is quiet power
SILENCE IS NOT WEAKNESS
We live in a loud world, a world where empty barrels are so audacious, and wants to make the loudest noise, equating it with conviction, competence, and power. People now believe they can only be heard when they make noise, they want to fill every room with sound, not considering its effect; and they mistake silence for emptiness, for weakness, and for surrender.
Silence is not weakness, it is a different kind of strength, it is not forged not in the fires of rage, violence and outburst, but in the deep, quiet waters of restraint, consciousness, self-discipline. A mountain will never make a sound when the thunderstorm comes, but despite the noise, the turbulence, the rain, and the heavy wind, the mountain remains immovable, unshakable, resilient, and still.
In a heated argument, silence is not defeat; it is the shield you raise against foolishness; it is the discipline to guide your utterances, and not pour your truth into deaf ears, and unyielding hearts; it is understanding that some battles are won not by shouting louder, but by refusing to enter the arena of noise. The man who listens more than he speaks, is not without ideas, he is a reservoir of it, quietly gathering insight, learning without noise; when he finally speaks, his words carry the weight of so much wisdom, such that they come with precision, not volume.
Do not confuse the loudest voice in the room for the strongest one, sometimes it is the most ignorant voice; do not mistake the person who never stops talking for the most capable, true strength is often disguised is quietness. Speak, but do so with passion and clarity when the time is right; never be afraid of your own silence. In a world addicted to noise, the quiet mind, the calm spirit, the person who can be silent when everyone else is talking, they are the ones in command.
To a better you, Kamikun John.
