BUILD ON YOUR STRENGTHS
Whatever you focus on, you strengthen; whatever you ignore, you weaken. In today's world people often focus on fixing their weaknesses, and they overlook the power of their natural strengths. Rather than improving on their strength, they worry about what they cannot do because of their weakness. True growth and success does not come from merely improving your shortcomings, but from recognizing, refining, and maximizing what you are already good at.
Instead of struggling to become average in areas where you lack talent, focus on becoming exceptional in what you are already great at. The most successful people are not those without weaknesses, they are the ones who know how to make their strengths shine. Stop trying to be good at everything. Build on your strengths, and let them carry you forward. When you operate in your area of strength, you feel more capable and self-assured. Taking on tasks that align with your strengths require less effort, allowing you to perform better and faster
Trying to improve everything can lead you to excelling at nothing. A musician does not become legendary by showing his football skills, rather he works on improving his vocals, he practices playing his instruments more, and ensures he performs excellently when he gets the opportunity. You don't waste your energy forcing yourself to do the things you are weak at, it slows your progress, and weakens your strength. Growth happens fastest where you are already strong.
Identify what you do effortlessly yet exceptionally; Invest time, effort, and practice to refine your natural abilities into elite skills; Seek opportunities, and environments where your strengths are your primary tools, and they are more productive. Weaknesses only hold you back if they are critical obstacles. Otherwise, ignore them and focus on what makes you exceptional, what makes you the best at what you do. The world rewards specialists, not generalists. Stop trying to fix yourself into adequacy. Build on your strengths, and rise to greatness.
To a better you, Kamikun John.
