DON'T FIGHT THE WIND ADJUST YOUR SAIL
Life, like the open sea, is unpredictable, and dynamic. This minute there is peace and calm, the next turbulence and chaos. On the sea of life, storms rise, winds shift, and currents pull us in unexpected directions. When this happens, our natural instinct may be to resist, to fight against the sudden strong rush of wind that threatens to push us off course, but wisdom teaches us that there is a better way, just adjust your sail, and you will be fine.
We can always adopt this simple but profound philosophy. We must understand that resilience is not about brute force, or rigidity but about adaptability, and flexibility. The wind is beyond our control, and it can blow us in any direction as it pleases, but the sail is ours to maneuver. When we adjust our approach, we harness the very forces that seem to oppose us, turning obstacles into momentum, and obstructions into vehicles for progress.
While navigating the sea of life, we should not waste our energy cursing the storm, we should rather adapt. Sometimes, the redirection that comes from the turbulence we encounter is what our voyage needs to discover new lands, new territories, and new potentials. A sudden change in direction can become an opportunity, a setback can become a lesson, a challenge can become the fuel for growth.
Whenever we face failure, rejection, and uncertainty, we can exhaust ourselves by resisting, but we can find a way to adjust. Our dreams, vision, or plan may need some refinement; the path we tread may require some flexibility; perhaps, the timing is not right and it demands some patience. The art of sailing lies not in controlling the wind but in mastering the response to it. So when life blows hard, you don't have to fight it, just adjust your sail, find your new course, and let the wind carry you forward.
To a better you, Kamikun John.
