Play your part right

LIFE IS A MOVIE WITHOUT REHEARSAL

Life is the most unpredictable movie ever, one where there is no script, no retakes, no rehearsals. Every moment is an unedited scene, every decision is a real time improvisation, and every day is a new plot twist. You are the script writer, lead actor and the director of this movie, and however it turns out to be is entirely your responsibility. This movie has the potential to be the best story ever seen, ever heard, ever written depending on what you make it.

In this movie, some scenes will come out beautifully shot, with golden moments of joy and laughter with friends and family, triumphs that feel like climactic victories. Others as raw, unpolished, and unrefined scenes of heartbreaks, failures, moments you wish you could cut off from the final reels, but unlike real movies, you cannot pause, rewind, replay, reshoot, or edit. There is only one option, you only play forward.

Sometimes, you are fortunate to have some supporting cast in your movie, some will be heroes, and others villains. Some will be there for as long as they are needed, and necessary, others may not be there for long, and they can even leave without notice. A few will leave marks so deep their absence becomes part of the story. There would be a few fleeting extras, each shaping the narrative in ways you could not have predicted, nevertheless they all are a part of this unfolding movie.

There are no guarantees of a happy ending in this movie, no assurance that things will end the way it is desired, but that is the beauty and the magic of it. The unscripted chaos, the unplanned detours, the unedited emotions, they are what make the story uniquely yours. So, play your role with courage, and confidence. Speak your lines with conviction, even when your voice shakes. Embrace every floppy moments as well as the excellent performance, and outcomes, because this is the one movie you will never get to watch or relive again. Enjoy every bit of it, and make it a worthy one.

To a better you, Kamikun John.
