WINNING YOUR WAY.
Alice was on the starting line with seven other contestants in a 100 meter sprint event, at the sound of the gun, everyone took off including Alice, and by the time she got to the finish line, she was the last person to arrive there. Disappointed at her position in the sprint, she began to weep, but her coach seeing the time she got to the finish line was happy, because it was a record time for Alice, she had never sprinted in such short time, in training or any competition.
The coach came to her and said, "Alice, you broke your personal best record, you have never ran in such a short time before, surprised she wiped off her tears and her face glowed with a smile. Despite coming last in the sprint, Alice was a winner. She was not a winner because she beat anyone in the sprint, she was a winner because she had beaten her own personal best record. She did what she have not been able to do prior to that race.
Winning for you does not always have to be by other people's definition, you don't have to satisfy other people's criteria before you can be declared a winner. Your greatest competition is not the man on the other lane, your greatest competition is the man you were yesterday. Whenever you climb higher than you previously were, you are winning; whenever you know better than you knew yesterday, you are winning; whenever you do what you could not do before, you are winning, and it is only then you can win against anyone else.
Winning is a personal personal journey, and you don't need any medal to know you are winning, or feel like a winner, as long as you are growing and becoming better. You must never be satisfied with what you have, or who you are, you must strive every day to beat yourself to new levels, you must work determinedly to rise above every obstacles, and limitations to arrive at a new destination. Be proud of yourself and everything that you do, do not let anyone put a tag on you, no matter what they say, you are a winner.
