PRIORITIES DETERMINES PROGRESS.
People will always make a fuse about their poverty of time, they attribute their inability to get something done to the unavailability of enough time. Time seems to be one of the most available resource to every one, ironically it is the most underutilised resource. Many people run through the day busy doing some of the most irrelevant tasks around, becoming particularly unproductive at the end of the day.
One way of ensuring your time is maximally utilised is to set priorities. Like Stephen Covey said, "The key is not to prioritize what's on your schedule, but to schedule your priorities." When you set your daily activities according to preference, order of importance, and possibly their level of difficulty, it helps you in the words of Brian Tracy "eat the most ugly frog first", and eases you up to face the simpler tasks ahead, making you more productive. Whatever you prioritise takes the center stage of everything you are doing, and until you get it done you will not feel fulfilled.
In the words of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, "Things which matter most must never be at the mercy of things which matter least." If you fail to give priority to the most important things in your life, you will find yourself attending to the unimportant and somewhat negligible ones.
In whatever you do, ensure your biggest priority is yourself. You must be at your best always to be able to get anything else done. Invest in becoming healthier, more knowledgeable, more skillful, and wiser person, as you would need these qualities to sail through the hurdles and challenges that life would throw at you. A lot of things will seek and fight for your attention, but having your priorities set would ensure you are on top of your game, and progress for you would be on autopilot.
