RESOLUTION

RESOLUTION

It is common practice for people to come up with resolutions at different times, especially at the beginning of the year, some people also come up with resolutions when they pass through some challenges in their lives. Resolutions are not merely meant for papers and screens, but for the mind; it is beyond statements, and intentions but about strong will, and determination.

Many January resolutions, are dead before the end of January and are buried by February, these kinds of resolutions does not effect any change on our lives, they are made in the spur-of-the-moment and therefore fade away in no time. If we must have better lives than we have always had, and really want to change our lives, our resolutions must be written in our hearts, and mind even as we do on papers, and screens.

We must always back up our resolutions with character, as Cavett Robert opined, "Character is the ability to carry out a good resolution long after the excitement of the moment has passed." character is something we will never lose, it stays with us even when the excitement backed resolution is no more as easy as we thought it would be, character keeps us going.

What were your resolutions? Are they still your resolutions? How motivated are you to keep up with your resolutions? Are your resolutions dead and buried, or alive and kicking? You must always remember that your determination to perform and act on your resolutions is as important as the resolution itself. Resolve to be your best self, resolve to be better every day than the previous, that is the best RESOLUTION to having a better life.
