GUILELESS
More often than not, stupidity is always a perceived feature of guilelessness, but realistically that seeming stupidity is sometimes just a sign of naivety rather than stupidity. One who would be without guile would be one who considers nothing of himself so highly that he neglects the necessity of doing right at all times. He would be conscious of doing things right rather than having his right.
Honesty and sincerity are the top ranking comrades in the cabinet of guilelessness, they come second to none other and will not be demoted for any reason. As much as we need to be guileless, we must be wise and careful in our dealing with people, we must know and understand their characters, and attitudes and be prepared to appropriately deal with them.
These words by Jim Morrison speaks volume of what guilelessness should be about, he said, "Guileless and without vanity, we were still in love with ourselves then.
We felt comfortable in our skins, enjoyed the news that our senses released to us, admired our dirt, cultivated our scars, and could not comprehend this unworthiness. Jealousy we understood and thought natural - a desire to have what somebody else had; but envy was a strange, new feeling for us." A guileless man can be a jealous man, but can never be an envious man.
Perfection is attained by making consistent efforts daily to become better than one was yesterday. It may not be an easy task, but it will surely be a rewarding one, work towards being better every day and see the cumulative effect and difference it will produce.
