FULFILLMENT

FULFILLMENT

Different people would define fulfillment as different things, to some fulfillment would be the accumulation of financial and material wealth, to another it could mean rising or getting to a particular position they have always dreamed and hoped to get to, to some it could mean reaching a level of personal satisfaction in their life. Could this all actually be seen as fulfillment? Maybe personal fulfilment, but is that all we are made for?

True fulfillment is the realization and actualisation of a man's purpose in life. Every man has a purpose and a man's purpose is always beyond the man, everything one does for himself should be in a bid to fulfilling the bigger purpose. Self fulfillment is partial fulfillment, but the fulfillment of purpose is the real definition of fulfillment.

Many a men have come and gone, many never fulfilled purpose. Though rich and famous, many lived only for themselves, their legacies never lived after them, but left with them. Some left legacies of regret that even their offspring are not proud of. Martin Luther King Jr., lived a short but fulfilled life; Nelson Mandela lived to the full realisation of his purpose; Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Theresa, and many others lived lives that still impacts many other lives positively today.

What are you running after, is your life, actions, and activities all about fulfilling purpose or making yourself alone comfortable and satisfying. You can not say you have fully lived if you only lived for yourself. Whatever we do, we must do with the consciousness of our purpose and not ourselves, immortality is not in not dying but in living on the the hearts and lives of others even after we have gone, this is to have lived a life of FULFILLMENT.
