CONSISTENCE
The subject of consistency can sometimes be controversial. Consistence can be both a set back and a propeller.
The most consistent phenomenon in life is change, but we are sometimes urged to remain consistent, that is, remain unchanging.
To be square on this subject, wisdom is necessary in determining when to be consistent and when to change. Israelmore Ayivor said in one of his books, “Do it again and again. Consistency makes the raindrops to create holes in the rock. Whatever is difficult can be done easily with regular attendance, attention and action.” if a part is clear, and the road is all mapped out, you need consistency to get to your destination, otherwise you will fall short by the way. The secret to success of a well mapped out journey is consistency.
Contrariwise, nature forbids consistency. Almost everything changes consistently. In the words of Aldous Huxley “Consistency is contrary to nature, contrary to life, the only completely consistent people are the dead.” Dynamism is important to our personal endeavours, we must know when to keep moving, when to stop, when to change, and when to remain rigid.
In all, we must understand ourselves, our journey, and our process. This is the only way through which we can identify what to do per time, as it relates to consistency and flexibility. Every man has his own path, and every path requires different approach, be sure to know what approach works best for you and follow through.
