Your happiness, your choice.

CREATE HAPPY MEMORIES.

Walt Whitman once said, “Do anything, but let it produce joy.” if you are doing anything and it is not making you happy, or it does not guarantee a promise of happiness, you are certainly wasting your time and life away. No one will give you happiness, only you can give yourself that gift. You don't become happy with the accumulation of wealth without contentment, happiness is derived from the satisfaction in the little things that you have.

In all you do, you must prioritise your own joy and happiness, life is too short to waste so much time thinking of the things you do not have, or bothering yourself with some ephemeral things of life. Many do not care how you survive, life does not come with fairness, but struggles, difficulties and challenges. You may have big dreams, you may be pursuing the actualization of some great ideas that you believe is capable of turning your life around, you must never back down on that, but you must give room for your sanity, and relax sometimes.

Find time to make merry, enjoy yourself, give yourself a nice treat, and reassure yourself of the value that is in you, and how much the world would miss if you weren't here. You are a gift to the world that must be treasured, and this precious gift must not always be in the face of fire, and storms. This precious gift must also be pampered, cherished, taken care of, and there is no one to do so for you but you. You cannot just pass through life, you must experience it and all the dimensions it offers.

In the words of the great Abraham Lincoln who said, “And in the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It is the life in your years.” At the end of it all you don't want the life in your years just be that spent in the storms, you don't want it to be that of the fight and struggle for survival, but also of pleasant memories created with family and friends, and loved ones, filled with wide smiles and loud laughter. Go out and be merry, relax your minds and brain, and when you are refreshed, get back on the threshing floor and pursue your dreams.
