IMPROVEMENT
Benjamin Franklin once said, "Without continual growth and progress, such words as improvement, achievement, and success have no meaning". The fact that some men have made outgrowing their current self daily, and improving on the person they were yesterday a necessity has made so much meaning of what success truly is.
As we grow through life we must not just grow in stature and size, we must grow in mental strength and capacity; we must grow in emotional strength and intelligence; we must grow in every single area of our lives, otherwise, we would not be as effective as we should be. Partial growth often lead to ineffectiveness. When a baby is growing, and a particular part of the baby is not growing in perfect synchrony with other parts, there is a call for concern.
The hand can not grow independent of the leg, neither can one of each grow independently of the other, all must grow together to ensure effectiveness and efficiency. We must make conscious, determined efforts to improve daily to become who we want and should be.
Like a baby would need to be fed with consistent, constant nutritious substances to grow as he should, the mind also must be fed with powerful and nutritious contents everyday to ensure growth and improvement. No matter how good you are at something, there will always be a room and a need for IMPROVEMENT. Like Helmut Schmidt would say, "The biggest room in the world is the room for improvement".
