RESPECT
Some things are in life cannot be taken, they cannot be fought for, nor forcefully achieved, they have to be earned. One of these, is RESPECT. Nothing earns one respect other than one's character and attitude. Wealth, fame, and popularity does not give one respect, but it can amplify one's respect, it can further propel one to greater levels of respect provided it has been earned through enviable character.
You may have all the money in this world, you may wield great powers, you may be the most popular man on earth, or even the most knowledgeable, without the right character and attitude, all you have will be just a tool of oppression to those who do not recognize what powers they have in themselves even when they do not have a tithe of what you possess.
When you respect others irrespective of who they are, and what they have, you will be respected. Everyone deserves respect, like Albert Einstein said, “Everyone should be respected as an individual, but no one idolized.” No one is greater, better, or more important than another, everyone deserves equal rights, and privileges.
Do not focus on earning respect, rather focus on being a person of good character and attitude, be a person who respect others not for what they have or who they are, but for their status as human beings. To quote R.G. Risch “Respect is a two-way street, if you want to get it, you have got to give it.” You are respected because you RESPECT others.
