DELIGHT
There are a plethora of things that can give one happiness in life, these things can give one long term happiness, short term happiness, and intermittent happiness, but these things are not as important as the things that brings us sorrow and despair. The things that has given us the greatest delight in life, are the things that make is the most sorrowful when taken away or otherwise and vice versa.
Life is like a roller coaster, today you are down, tomorrow you are up. At that moment when you are down do not be discouraged, that moment is succeeded by the peak moment. The things, people, and places that greatly delight you today can tomorrow be the source of your greatest pain and regret.
Take delight in the the things that you have today, for tomorrow you may have them no more; cherish the things that makes you happy today, for tomorrow they may cease to do the same. Do not let the fear of tomorrow and the unknown deprive you of the joy of today. It is not much of the substance that gives you the feeling that you have, but the state of your mind.
Man's greatest delight is to live a life full of DELIGHT, to experience life to the fullest, to do all that his heart desires and to be the best version of himself. Until he accepts that he cannot always live in such delight, and that he will sometimes have a taste of the bitter pills, he will continue to chase the shadows of real DELIGHT.
