Take responsibility

DON'T SHIFT BLAMES

It is always easier to blame others when things go wrong than to take responsibility and be accountable for your fault. Blaming others does not make anything better, it never brings any solutionto light, neither does it make you better than those you blame, rather it makes you worse. When you shift blame in others, you are telling them that you are not capable of being trusted, that you cannot be taken seriously, and you are irresponsible.

People sometimes shift blame on others because they are not willing to accept their failure, and are not ready to bear the consequences of it. Trying to protect your self image may be something positive, but when it comes to taking responsibility, it is honourable to take the blame and make your credibility and trustworthiness clear and obvious. Do not resort to blaming others for what you have clearly caused, do not pull others down because you are trying to stay up, it never ends well.

If you keep blaming people for your failures, you will never grow, you will never become a better person, and people will never trust you with anything worthwhile. You will never learn from your mistakes because you never accepted them. Instead of finding who to blame, find how to fix the problem. Who takes the blame is not as important as finding a solution.

Blaming others might give temporary relief, and save you from disgrace, but taking responsibility builds respect, trust, and resilience. When things go wrong, rather than sulking, or trying to shift the blame, accept your fault, learn from it, carry yourself back up, and keep moving. Failing, falling is not the end of the journey, it is an opportunity to start again, but better, wiser, and well equipped for the journey ahead. Rather than shifting blame, shift your perspective, and shift your mindset.

To a better you, Kamikun John.
