Go do your thing

YOU DON'T NEED THEIR PERMISSION

You were born for a reason, for a purpose, and to fulfill a divine assignment. You are not meant to just exist, or pass through this world like a snake that crawls through a rock without leaving any trace. You must leave an indelible mark on the world; the world must be a better place because you came here; but you can't do all these trying to seek people's approval or permission.

There is a voice inside you that must be heard, it is bold, unshaken, and waiting to roar, you don't wait for someone to let speak, just speak. The key to your own life is in your hands, you don't have to hand it over to anyone else. You don't need permission to do whatever you want to do, to pursue whatever you want to pursue, to be whatever you want to be, all you need is the belief in your own self, and your ability.

People's doubts should not stop you, the voice of naysayers, and the whispers of those who would never try a thing should not hinder you, the fear of failure should not stop you from going forward. Greatness does not ask for permission. It moves, it builds, it takes the first step before anyone else believes it is possible. The world does not hand out invitations to change the game, you claim your seat by daring to show up.

Your dreams don't belong to the doubters, your voice does not need their validation, your fire does not require their spark. Stop waiting for someone to anoint you, stop holding your breath for their blessing. The only approval you need is your own, the only green light you require is the one you give yourself. Start before you are ready, build before they believe, rise before they notice. Those who have changed the world never waited for permission, they simply decided it was theirs to take.

Win before you fight

EVERY BATTLE IS WON BEFORE IT IS EVER FOUGHT

Every battle has been concluded long before it ever started. Winners have taken the win before they ever stepped foot onto the battlefield. Only the manifestation comes to life during and after the battle. Every warrior who has been through great battles, who have been victorious; every champion who has achieved great success in their field, knows so well that victory, success is first crafted, and settled in the mind before it becomes executed in reality.

The real fight is in preparation, not on the stage. The outcome of every fight, every race, every quest for something tangible have been determined before anything begins, and that is through the clarity of the vision that is being carried, the depth of preparation that has been done, and the strength of discipline that has gone into the preparation. A winner knows he will win even before the event begins; so, no matter what is happening at any point, he knows it is just a matter of time.

Your mindset shapes your reality. If you see yourself as defeated before you begin, you have already lost, but if you train, study, and prepare with absolute conviction, the actual fight is mere formality. See the win before it happens. Mastery comes from relentless practice, practice until you become the master. Do not fear the battle, doubt loses wars before they start, but confidence wins them.

People will always see the final moment, the knockout punch, the breakthrough, but they don't see the years of struggle behind it. True victory is built in the shadows, long before the spotlight shines. Whatever endeavour you find yourself, ensure your preparation never suffers, and the result will take care of itself. Train harder, study deeper, and plan smarter, when the moment comes, it will not be a test, it will be an opportunity to prove who you already are: a Winner.

Get informed

INFORMATION IS YOUR MOST VIABLE COMMODITY

In a data drive world, you don't want to be caught off guard, or lagging behind on the most powerful currency that you need to get ahead. Gold, oil, diamonds, or even money cannot buy you what you will be able to get or achieve with the right information. You can have all the knowledge in the world, you can draw up a very good strategy towards achieving something, or have so much insight that you are able to influence a crowd, but a man who recognises the value of information, and leverages it properly will always stay ahead of the game.

You have heard people say, "knowledge is power", it is not enough to know but to apply. Nevertheless, in this age and time, "information is a superpower." Every great decision, every breakthrough, and every competitive edge begins with the right information. It shapes lives, it transforms a nobody into somebody, and creates something out of nothing.

The difference between success and stagnation often comes down to the kind and quality of information that is available to you, and how well you are able to make use of it. Information determines opportunity; it determines what you learn, the skills you acquire, and how you are able to adapt to changes in an ever evolving world.

You need the right information to thrive, you have to seek quality over quantity. Be certain to be on accurate, relevant, and actionable information. Always ask the right questions, that is how you get quality information. You are rewarded not for the information you have, but for the information you use. Invest in your ability to gather the right information, analyse them properly, and make use of them positively. What you know and use, is your superpower.

Steady yourself

NEVER LOSE YOUR BALANCE

Life, they say, is not balanced, but if you must live a meaningful life, you must find a way to ensure that you never lose your own balance. Losing your balance in life will be a chaotic experience. Life is a constant dance between work and rest; pushing for more, and being contempt with what we have; struggle and ease. There will be moments when everything you do just does not seem right, when challenges toss you here and there, and doubt makes you question your why.

Balance is not about standing perfectly still, and upright, it is about adjusting, adapting, and always finding your way back to center, and standing firm. When failure knocks you sideways, steady yourself. When success lifts you high, stay grounded. The greatest warriors, thinkers, and visionaries were not those who never stumbled, but those who learned to regain their footing.

When stress pulls you one way, breathe deeply and anchor yourself in the present. When fear tries to unsteady you, plant your feet in courage and take the next step. When life feels chaotic, remember that even the mightiest trees bend with the wind but never break. You are stronger than the forces that try to throw you off course. Every setback is a lesson in resilience, every fall is a chance to rise with greater wisdom. Keep your mind sharp, your heart steady, and your spirit unshaken.

True strength lies in finding your balance, no matter how fierce the storm may be. The world needs people who can stand firm in uncertainty, who can navigate chaos with calm, and who never let the turbulence of life steal their inner peace. Stand tall, adjust when you must, and never, ever lose your balance.

Secure your integrity

KEEP YOUR PROMISES

Promises are not mere words being uttered, they are statements of commitment, and are binding for as long as it has not been fulfilled. One of the major reflections of a trustworthy character is how much, and how well you keep your promises. You cannot be seen as a person of integrity if you consistently fail on your promises. It will be difficult to respect a man who does not honour his promises. When you make a promise and fulfill it, you build strong relationships, earn respect, and create a reputation of reliability and trustworthiness.

Failing to keep a promise will leave a feeling of disappointment on the one who is expecting it, it can damage a smooth and cordial relationship, and take away your credibility. Sometimes, you can have a valid reason to not be able to fulfill your promise, but repeatedly failing on promises creates a trend of being unreliable. Overtime, the words of a man who consistently fail to follow through on his promises will lose meaning to those who hear them.

Before you make promises, be sure to be capable of bringing them to pass, don't just speak or make promises to impress, that is not what promises are meant for, they are meant to be fulfilled. It is better to be silent rather than saying what you will not be able to do. Prioritize your words, give them value, treat them as sacred, people will begin to trust whatever you say, and see you as a person of integrity.

Money is not the only resource that you can spend, your words can be spent if it has been perceived as valuable; you can be trusted based on what you say. You can build the foundation for meaningful relationships, establish valuable connections, and create an honourable legacy for those who are coming behindyou, and hoping that your name would open doors for them. Your word is your bond, guard it carefully, fulfill it faithfully, and you will earn not just trust, but lasting respect from those around you.

Take responsibility

DON'T SHIFT BLAMES

It is always easier to blame others when things go wrong than to take responsibility and be accountable for your fault. Blaming others does not make anything better, it never brings any solutionto light, neither does it make you better than those you blame, rather it makes you worse. When you shift blame in others, you are telling them that you are not capable of being trusted, that you cannot be taken seriously, and you are irresponsible.

People sometimes shift blame on others because they are not willing to accept their failure, and are not ready to bear the consequences of it. Trying to protect your self image may be something positive, but when it comes to taking responsibility, it is honourable to take the blame and make your credibility and trustworthiness clear and obvious. Do not resort to blaming others for what you have clearly caused, do not pull others down because you are trying to stay up, it never ends well.

If you keep blaming people for your failures, you will never grow, you will never become a better person, and people will never trust you with anything worthwhile. You will never learn from your mistakes because you never accepted them. Instead of finding who to blame, find how to fix the problem. Who takes the blame is not as important as finding a solution.

Blaming others might give temporary relief, and save you from disgrace, but taking responsibility builds respect, trust, and resilience. When things go wrong, rather than sulking, or trying to shift the blame, accept your fault, learn from it, carry yourself back up, and keep moving. Failing, falling is not the end of the journey, it is an opportunity to start again, but better, wiser, and well equipped for the journey ahead. Rather than shifting blame, shift your perspective, and shift your mindset.

Move on quickly

DON'T WASTE TIME CLINGING TO YOUR MISTAKES

A perfect man is not a man who does not make mistakes, but a man who makes plenty mistakes that he will never repeat, because he learns from his mistakes and move on from them. Mistakes are an inevitable part of a growing life, everyone makes them; but what matters most is not the error, but how you respond to it. People often waste valuable time clinging to past mistakes, instead of picking the lessons and moving on from them.

A mistake only becomes permanent when you refuse to move past it. They are life lessons and not life sentences. Every misstep is always an opportunity to learn, grow, and adjust your approach. Thomas Edison did not see his thousands failed attempts as wasted time, rather, he saw them as valuable steps toward success. If he had dwelled on each of those failures, he would not have been successful in the invention of the light bulb.

Holding onto failure or mistakes does not correct them, it only holds you back from moving forward. If you refuse to move forward, you will later regret the consequences of holding on. The weight of regret is far more burdensome than the mistake itself. Wasting time wishing you had done things differently will not change the past, it will only steal from your future.

Time is your most valuable asset, don't spend it mourning what is already done. The past is a place of reference, not residence. Every moment spent lingering on old failures is a moment taken away from creating new successes. So, let go, don't waste another second clinging to what went wrong. Forgive yourself, learn, and step forward. The road ahead is always more important than the stumble behind.

Spread some love

LOVE IS A BEAUTIFUL THING

Love is one of the most profound and beautiful experiences life has to offer, it is something that all humans crave to give and receive. It has the power to uplift, inspire, and transform us in ways nothing else can. Whether it is the love between partners, the bond of family, or the warmth of friendship, love brings colour to our world and gives life deeper meaning.

Love is a deep connection, a silent understanding of what you feel within you, an unspoken promise to someone or people you carry in your heart, a shared heartbeat that keeps you running. Love is in the little things, a gentle touch, a soothing smile, a moment of quiet comfort. Love may not always be loud; sometimes, it is in the gentle whispers of a loved one's voice, it can make you do the things that are naturally not convenient for you to do; it can sometimes be a game changer in the story of a man's life.

Love is also strength. It gives us courage when we are afraid, hope when we are lost, and solace when we are broken. It teaches us patience, forgiveness, and the beauty of vulnerability. To love and be loved is to know that, no matter what happens, you are never truly alone. It tells you that no matter how long the journey may be, you will not walk it alone.

One of the most beautiful thing about love is its ability to grow. Weather in a family, the more love is been expressed, it grows stronger and better. In relationships, it can starts as a spark, a glance, a heartfelt laugh, a shared moment, and, if nurtured, becomes a flame that lights up an entire lifetime. It changes us, shapes us, and reminds us of what truly matters. We must cherish love in all its forms, celebrate it, protect it, and let it guide you, because in a world that can sometimes feel cold and uncertain, love is the warmth that makes everything worthwhile.

Overcome your own challenges

DEAL WITH YOUR PROBLEMS

Life is full of challenges, some little, some overwhelming, but how we deal with those challenges determines how far we will go, and how fast we will grow, it will determine how happy we will be, and our peace of mind. When we face our challenges heads-on, deal with our fears, and summon the courage to push forward, we will be able to develop the right mindset to turn every obstacle into opportunities.

Sometimes, we don't even realise there is a problem. To solve a problem, we must accept its existence. Constantly denying the presence of a problem is an extension of its effect, but acceptance opens you up to the possibility of finding lasting and effective solutions. Desmond Tutu once said, “There is only one way to eat an elephant: one bite at a time.” You don't tackle one big problem at once, it is done bit by bit. Don't be in a rush to dismantle difficult challenges, take your time to break it down into pieces, and tackle it in bits.

You may not always have what it takes to solve a problem, you may not always be the best person to face certain challenges. Seek help when necessary, it saves you from unnecessary stress, and irrelevant processes. Not everything will be within your control, know when to ask for help. Avoiding problems only makes them grow, and procrastination breeds anxiety. Take the first step towards finding solutions to your problems, no matter how small. Action creates momentum, helps you reduce fear, and brings you closer to a solution.

Not every problem has a perfect solution. Some things are beyond your control, accepting that can free you from unnecessary stress. Focus on what you can change, and let go of what you can't. Problems are inevitable, but the suffering that comes with it is optional. When we face challenges with courage, patience, and a proactive mindset, you transform difficulties into strength, and challenges into opportunities.

You can push through

DILIGENCE WILL PAVE THE WAY

No one ever stumbles on success, it is only achieved through hardwork, determination, patience, and diligence. Without the necessary action that will move you from one point to the other, you will remain rooted in your stagnant, immovable, and unprogressive station.

Diligence is one of the most important ingredients in the preparation of every great accomplishment. Talent is important, and it can take you to the presence of Kings and Queens, but hardwork, discipline, and diligence is what will keep you there. Zig Ziglar once said, "Success occurs when opportunities meet preparation." People get lucky because they are prepared, an unprepared person will hardly get the smile of furtune.

Sometimes, you would put in the work, you would do all you can to ensure you get your desired result, but it always seems to be just one step ahead of you no matter what you do; that should not stop you from making continuous efforts, it should not make you quit on your journey. Success does not come overnight, it comes through consistently showing up even when you don't have to, or have the strength to. Every little step will take you closer to the end point even when the results are not obvious.

The journey will not get easier, challenges will roll in heavy like tides from the sea, failure will stare you in the face, but that is just part of the journey. Every obstacle is an opportunity to rise up to a higher level, every distraction is a privilege to readjust your focus, and every hinderance a reason to push forward even harder. Your dreams are yours to achieve, and only you can do what needs to be done to get you there. The path may be paved with obstructions, but your diligence, determination, and resolve to reach your destination will certainly pave the way.

Fight for what you want

DON'T FAIL YOURSELF

From the moment we are born, and through our growth into adulthood, we are constantly in the quest for the fulfilment of some sort of expectations. Living will be meaningless without expectations; expectations from family, friends, the society, and ourselves. However, among all these, there is one that is most crucial; it is your own expectations from yourself. If you fail to meet the standards you have set for your own self, if you do not get the happiness you desire, but satisfy the demand of others, you have failed.

Every time you sacrifice what is dear to you, to satisfy another person, or people, you are silencing your own truth, you are digging a grave for your own fulfillment and happiness, and what is a life lived without happiness? Everything you do to please someone else could have been turned around to meet your own standard; Every excuse you make when you could have pushed harder, every time you choose to remain in your comfort zone rather than pushing for growth, every time you let fear of failure hold you back from doing the things you really want to do, you are giving away what would have been truly yours.

It will never be easy, sometimes it will get tougher than you expect, people might even begin to judge you, and criticise you for going against their wishes and demands, and you might even feel like quitting, but quitting is never an option for anyone who wants to fulfill his purpose, and achieve his ambitions. You must understand that every fall is an opportunity to bounce back better, and fly higher.

Only you can bring your dreams to life, and you owe yourself more than that. No one will ever do for you what you can and must do for yourself. So, do not disappoint yourself, do not sell your desires, plans, dreams and ambitions cheaply to satisfy another man. Don't fail yourself, don't settle for less, don't abandon your dream, only you can be you, only you can make you happy, and you must make that happen for you.

Be your own best friend

YOU CAN'T BE EVERYBODY'S FRIEND

In a world where many crave acceptance, where people want the approval of everyone to feel valuable and loved; we must understand that being everyone's friend makes you your own enemy. You cannot be everyone's friend, and not lose who you really are. The moment you try to please everyone around you, you will begin to do things that do not align with your personal journey, and ambitions, taking off your true essence from you.

People have different tastes, values, and perspectives. No matter how kind, genuine, or accommodating you are, there will always be someone whose perspective does not resonate with yours, someone who sees you as a threat rather than a companion to partner with. Another man's judgement of you is not a true reflection of your worth, and you should not go out of your way trying to win over everyone, it will bend you and keep you exhausted.

The desire to be accepted and liked by everyone can lead to people-pleasing, where you suppress your true self to avoid conflict or disapproval; nevertheless, in doing so, you dilute your authenticity, you replace yourself with someone else, and put yourself into extinction. The right people, those who appreciate you for who you really are, who accept the value you bring into their lives and spaces will find you when you stop bending yourself to fit into everyone else's expectations.

Instead of spreading yourself thin, focus on nurturing meaningful connections with those who value and respect you. A few, deep, genuine friends are far more fulfilling than a million shallow ones. Let go of the pressure to be universally adored. Be kind, be respectful, but do not sacrifice your authenticity for approval. The right people will stay. The ones who do not stay were never meant to be there with you, nor for you in the first place. You were not made to be liked by everyone; you were made to be yourself, and that is enough.

Start small grow big

DON'T DISDAIN THE DAYS OF LITTLE BEGINNINGS

Every tall standing iroko tree started out from the very first inch, every mighty river begins with a single drop, every journey that leads to a grand destination began with a single step. Success can never be rushed, it always starts from very little beginnings. We often overlook the power of small beginnings, we dream of the finish line but grow impatient with the first few steps, we crave significance but disdain the humble beginnings that make it possible.

Starting small is the only means through which greatness can be reached. Moses began with a shepherd's staff, David started with a sling and a stone, Abraham Lincoln began from a log cabin to the white house, Nelson Mandela began from the prison to the highest ranking position in his country. There is no limit to the height one can get to with faith, confidence, and the willingness to go the distance.

Small steps teach patience, perseverance, and faithfulness. If you cannot be trusted with little, no one will trust you with much. Every small victory is a training ground for greater battles. David's faithfulness with sheep prepared him for the battle against Goliath. A little seed, when planted and properly nurtured, grows into a harvest. What seems insignificant today may become a legacy tomorrow.

Your first attempt at a thing may be awkward, but it is the foundation to something bigger. One tiny act of kindness can change someone's life forever. Job chapter 8, verse 7 says, "Though your beginning was small, Yet your latter end would increase abundantly." To get somewhere in life, to achieve anything worthwhile, there must be a beginning, no matter how small, and growth will surely follow. There is no haste on the journey to increase, it is a gradual and progressive process that must start small, and that should not be despised.

Shine

PUT OUT DARKNESS WITH YOUR LIGHT

The world has long been a very dark place, there is a lot of fear, despair, anger, rage, doubts, even carnage everywhere. There have been some great beams of light, there have been some rays, and there have been some tiny sparks trying to lighten their own little corner. Many are gone, but their light shines on, they have left legacies that no one, not even time will ever erase; but darkness never stops spreading, the world needs more light.

The shadows are spreading everywhere, and darkness seems to easily swallow everything, but light will always prevail. Everyone of us carries that light within us, although some have quietly put out theirs and turned it into darkness, but we must not allow darkness to prevail over us. The light you carry is one that cannot be extinguished, it may flicker at times, but it never really goes out, and you must not let it, because it is not just for you, it is meant to be shared, it is for the world.

Jesus said in the book of Matthew chapter 5, verse 14, "Ye are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden." We cannot hide our light, it is not meant to be hidden, but for everyone to see. You must show kindness everywhere you go, to everyone you can at everytime you can; words of encouragement can go a long way in lifting another's soul; a helping hand to those who need it, is enough to put a smile on someone else's face.

You do not have to shine as bright as the sun, you do not have to burn like a furnace, a little spark can turn into a huge flame, that is enough to light someone's path. When you choose compassion over cruelty, optimism over pessimism, courage over silence, you are not just resisting darkness, you are pushing it back. The world needs your light, not tomorrow, not when you feel ready, but right now; because darkness only wins when light refuses to shine. So, burn boldly, and let your presence be light.

Act despite fear

DON'T BE AFRAID OF DOING BE AFRAID OF NOT DOING

The fear of failure, embarrassment, and imperfection as unnecessary as they are can sometimes be excused, because fear is a natural phenomenon to man. It is not a crime to be scared, to be afraid of something, but one thing that we really need to fear, is inaction. There is great danger in dormancy, inactivity, and laziness, unfortunately many seem to be very comfortable with them. There is nothing to regret in trying and falling short, the greatest regret comes from never trying at all.

Doing comes with double chances, we either fail or succeed, but not doing comes with a guaranteed outcome of failure. Fear will paralyse you with the potential for failure, but you have already failed by yielding to fear. If you never try, you will never know what you have missed. History belongs to those who act, not those who wait for perfect conditions. Every missed chance, every opportunity deferred, is the gradual death of great potentials.

Action is the antidote for fear; failure will teach you what success will not, but inaction will stagnate you; the sting of rejection will fade, but the regret of not trying will linger for long; progress can be slow and messy, but the effect of paralysis is permanent. The world rewards doers, not bystanders. The extra work, the courage to ask and move in-spite of difficulties, the leap of faith into the unknown, these are the moments that define our lives.

At the end of the day, your greatest regret will not be what you did and failed (that will make you proud of yourself), it will be realizing that you never gave yourself the chance to soar. You don't need confidence to start, you gain confidence by doing. The muscle of courage strengthens with use; so, use it the best way possible. The only true failure is surrender before the attempt. Fear will always be there, but never let it rule you. Don't fear the stumble, fear the standstill.

Build yourself

IT IS NOT WHAT YOU HAVE BUT WHO YOU ARE

The true value of a man is not in the things that he possesses, but in the value that he offers. The world today can measure success by wealth, material possessions, bank statements, status, and things that can be bought, touched, and felt; but the true worth of a man is his personality. Your value is not determined by what you have, but by who you are.

Material things, possessions come and go, they can be taken away in the twinkle of an eye, money can be lost, status can fade; but your character, your kindness, your integrity, the way you treat others, the discipline that you have imbibed, and the value that you carry, these are the things that truly define you. A person with little wealth but a generous heart is richer than a miser with a fortune; a humble soul who uplifts others leaves a greater legacy than someone who hoards accolades but lacks compassion.

If everything you have today were to be taken away from you, if you were to be stripped of all you have gathered, achieved, and accomplished, what would be left of you? Will you still have the respect, the honour, and the prestige you used to command? Will people still see you as someone they can associate with, or is that all there is to your existence?

The world does not always remember the richest people, but the world never forgets those who made a difference, those who fought for humanity, those who pursued justice, loved all, and lived with purpose. The kindness you show, the courage you display, and the wisdom you share are the true essence of a well-lived life. Measure yourself by the strength of your spirit, the depth of your empathy, and the light you bring into the world, that is your true worth, and that is all that truly matters.

Look towards tomorrow

NO FUTURE IN THE PAST

There is nothing rewarding, joyous, or profitable in looking back at the regrets, mistakes, and failures of the past, when the future holds unlimited, and unimaginable possibilities; when times ahead promises great potentials, a road to be graciously explored, and an awesome story to be written. There is so much in the future to enjoy, but we must keep that future alive by constantly looking forward, and moving towards it, without the pain of the past.

Oftentimes, we revisit the past, replay old conversations in our heads, rethinking our responses, the things we said, or wished we said, we think about the hopes that never came to pass, we look back at who we were, and who we could have become; but the truth is, all these are now gone and will never return again. Everything that happened or did not happen in the past has brought us to where we are today, but if we must move forward, if we must climb up to a higher ground we must now begin to look at the present and what we must do to make tomorrow what we want it to be.

The past is where it belongs, the present is here as an opportunity to shape the future we desire. We might miss some memories of the past, we might miss who we were, or what we enjoyed, but we have the present to create memories that will carry us through into the future. There is more that can be, if we live in the moment and make the best use of it. The past, is gone, don't waste the present thinking about it.

If the future we once imagined is lost, then we must forget about the expectations we had of it, and create new ones for tomorrow. There is hope for a life that still breathes, there is a future for the man who can still imagine, and a whole life for them that believes in their ability to reach their desired destination. The past does not contain the future, and the future is an illusion until we make it there, and bring it to life.

Seek and you will find

YOU DON'T SEE WHAT YOU ARE NOT LOOKING FOR

If you are not looking for something, even when it is right in front of you, you would not see it. There is an old saying, "The eyes see only what the mind is prepared to comprehend." What you focus on, the expectations you have, and the biases you allow in your mind, shapes the reality of your life, and what is allowed into your space.

If there is a problem you are trying to find a solution to, and you are fixated on a particular style, pattern, or approach of solving the problem, even if you stumble on countless alternative solutions, you would easily discard them, because they do not fit the type of solution your mind have pictured. Finding anything requires intentionality, and focus. Finding something is an active process, and not something that happens passively or by accident.

Awareness is a choice. If you want to see more possibilities, more truth, more connection, you must first adjust what you are looking for. Oftentimes, what you seek is already there, only waiting to be noticed. The potential for greatness is already there, if you are not harnessing it, it would not manifest. Having an open mindset can help you see a broader spectrum of things you were not aware was available to you. Some things are hidden because we are not looking, seek and you will find.

Our mental filters determine what we notice and what we ignore. If you are convinced that the world is against you, you will always be slighted, and betrayed everywhere you go, because that is what you are looking for. If you are looking for beauty, love, and peace, you will find it in places you least expected it. However, when you want something so badly, and you believe you would get it, such that your major focus becomes your earnest desire, your mind will become attuned to noticing relevant opportunities, patterns, or information that will help you reach your goal.

To a better you, Kamikun John.

Believe in yourself

YOU CAN DO IT

Life is full of challenges, moments when the path seems too steep, the obstacles too great, the doubts too loud, and the noise disruptive. It is in those moments you must always believe in yourself and remember that, you can do it. Every great achievement begins with a simple decision, trying, and believing that you can. You may not see the finish line yet, you may stumble, fall, or face setbacks, but the deep belief that you have everything you need to rise, adapt, and keep moving forward will carry you through.

The Wright brothers were told humans would never fly, until they did, because they believed in themselves. Rosa Parks stood up against segregation by sitting down and changed the course of history because she believed in her right to dignity. Elon Musk risked everything to revolutionize space travel, even when critics called it impossible. Chelsea Football Club humiliated a team people said would destroy them. All these were not superhuman, they were simply people who refused to give up on who they are.

Let your doubts fade out, but let your courage roar loud. Fear will fade if you keep taking steps forward. Progress should be prioritised over perfection, you don't have to be perfect, just persistent. No one starts at the top. Mastery comes with time and effort. Your mindset shapes your reality. If you believe you can, you are already halfway there.

Big goals feel overwhelming, but if you focus on one small step at a time, you would achieve the impossible. When you fall, get up; when you fail, learn; when you are tired, rest, but don't quit. Your dreams are not just for you, they inspire others. Every time you push through doubt, you prove what is possible; every time you rise after a fall, you show the strength of the human spirit. In the words of Nelson Mandela "It always seems impossible until it is done."

Stick to them

SET YOUR STANDARDS

Setting standards is like erecting a guardrail that guides your movements and alignments even when you walk with your eyes closed, it also sets a boundary between what is allowed into your space and what is not. The standards you set for yourself is what ensures you don't go below your minimum best, it ensures your value is sustained, and that you do not settle for less than you deserve.

As humans, it is important we set standards for ourselves, because without standards, everything, and anything goes. Standards are not just preferences, they are more, they are non-negotiables that must be stuck to, irrespective of what happens. When you set high standards, you attract better opportunities, people and circumstances rise or fall to meet the level you demand.

Setting and maintaining your standard helps you build respect, and a positive self esteem. Every time you uphold your standards, you reinforce your worth. When you stick to what you want, and refuse to tolerate anything less, you push yourself into putting substantial effort into whatever you do, thereby driving you toward excellence.

If you don't value yourself, others won't either. Define what you deserve in every area of life. Say no to disrespect, laziness, and inconsistency, from others or yourself. When you tolerate poor treatment, or weak habits, you invite dissatisfaction. The world does not give you what you want, it gives you what you accept. Your life is a reflection of the standards you refuse to compromise on. Set them high, defend them fiercely, and watch everything, and everyone around you rise to meet them. Standards mean nothing without discipline. Be accountable, act in ways that reflect the quality of life you desire.

Keep moving forward

WHEN YOU CAN'T SEE THE ROAD, KEEP GOING

Life does not come with a map, and the path we tread is not always clear. There are moments in life when the road ahead is shrouded in fog, when uncertainty clouds your vision, when doubt suggests that you should stop, and turn back, and all you can see ahead are roadblocks; it is in these moments that you should look inward and let your inner compass lead you in the way that you should go.

Some of the greatest voyages and adventure ever made, were not made by those who only walked in daylight, they were not made through paths that were clear, or undisturbed terrain. They were journeys made by the people who kept moving even when they could not see what was ahead, they were journeys made to create a path for many who would come behind them, they were journeys of determination, focus, and relentlessness.

A ship sailing through the night, does not stop moving just because the horizon is no longer in sight. The Caption, instead, trusts his compass, his instincts, and the knowledge that dawn will come to keep piercing through the darkness. When the way forward is not clear, that does not mean the path is not there, it means you are being tested, not on your ability to see, but on your willingness to press forward despite the blindness.

Some of the most important growth happens in the invisible progress of uncertainty, the times when you have nothing but faith to guide you. Every step taken in uncertainty is a step of resilience; every mile you cover in doubt is proof that you can endure more than you thought. When the road disappears before you, don't turn back, don't stand still; adjust your pace if you must, but keep going. The fog will lift, the path will clear, and when it does, you will realize that you are closer to your destination than you ever thought.

Use it freely

IMAGINATION DOES NOT COST A DIME

In a world where a price is attached to everything, where you should be careful of what you get for free, there are a ton of things that do not come with a price tag. These things are there for our use, consumption, and growth; turning a blind eye to them would cost us progress and breakthrough. One of these heavily available, gloriously important, and absolutely free gifts is, imagination. No cost, no monopoly, no restrictions, and no one can take it away from you.

Imagination costs nothing, yet it holds infinite value. With imagination, lines on sheets of papers become skyscrapers, models of cardboard boxes become spaceships, aircraft, and giant vessels. Imaginations have turned the world from a primitive, dispersed field of distant landscapes scattered everywhere, into a well connected, universal village where distance is no longer a problem, where people far apart can reach themselves with the push of a button.

Everyone is born with infinite imaginative capacity. Children instinctively understand this, they don't need expensive toys, or sophisticated gadgets to get into a realm that they can only reach through imagination, to embark on adventures that only their minds can take them to. Adults too, can harness this power. Dreaming up a new business, creating something new, or envisioning a better life starts in the mind, no initial investment required. Some of the greatest inventions, and breakthroughs began as mere thoughts, nurtured by imagination long before they became reality.

Imagine a future brighter than today. No permission is needed, no fees apply. Imagination is the one currency we all possess equally, spend it freely, and you will find yourself doing more than you ever thought possible. The best things in life are not things, they are dreams, ideas, and the limitless worlds we create in our minds; all these at no cost at all.

Check your lens

WHAT YOU SEE THROUGH DETERMINES WHAT YOU SEE

The lens through which you view the world have an effect on how you see the world, and what you see.The view of an object from a pair of glasses, a camera, or through a window will never be the same, even when you are looking at the same object, from the same distance, at the same time, in the same environment. In the same manner, ideologies, cultural background, and personal experiences will filter, distort, and define our perception of reality, events, and people.

A telescope bring closer distant object into clear vision for you, while a microscope will make bold element that are invisible to the naked eye. The same eyes, looking through different instruments, sees entirely different realities. A person who views life through the lens of optimism sees opportunities where another, shaped by pessimism, sees only obstacles. Our beliefs, biases, and backgrounds act as prisms, refracting reality into the colours we expect, or fear to find.

In our daily lives, the stories we consume, the people we surround ourselves with, the environment that shaped us, and the values we hold all act as perceptual filters. Where a person sees flaws, another sees potential; what someone disdains, another sees beauty, and cherishes it. Sometimes, the problem is not what we see, but what we are seeing through. To change what we see, we must first examine what we are seeing through, and ensure it is the right instrument.

A telescope can not be used to see an ameoba, and a microscope can not be used to enlarge the stars. In trying to look at a situation, you must ensure you are using the right instruments. We must come to terms with reality, and recognize that no lens is entirely neutral. It is not just what we see, but how we choose to look. When we shift our perspective, by trying new lenses, we might discover realities previously invisible to us.

Build yourself back up

THERE IS NO SHAME IN BEING BROKEN

Vulnerability, brokenness, and soft-heartedness has been classified as weaknesses in our society today. People now worship strength, perfect smiles, unshakable confidence, and lives that appear perfectly put together, and effortlessly smooth. We are now made to believe that, it is best to hide our cracks, to carry our pain in silence, to pretend we are whole even when we are falling apart. However, the truth is, there is no shame in being broken.

To be broken is to be human. It means you have loved deeply, sacrificed wholeheartedly, fought fiercely, defended a friend only to realise it was an enemy, and you have been betrayed, stabbed behind your back, and felt the weight of life crashing down on you in all its brutality. The scars you carry are not signs of weakness, or failure, they are proof that you have been through the storm and survived; it shows how strong, resilient, and unbreakable you are.

People can tag your brokenness as weakness; say your vulnerability is a flaw; and refer to your sacrifices as a desperate plea for acceptance; but the bravest thing you can do is stand your ground, understand your truth, and accept it. You may not be at your best right now, but everyone have to go through the valley to get to the mountain top. You start to heal the moment you stop to pretend you are okay, and accept that it is just a phase of life.

Some of the most beautiful souls are the ones that have been shattered and rebuilt. They understand pain, so they offer kindness. They know darkness, so they become light for others. Your brokenness does not make you less, it makes you real; and in a world where imitation is everywhere, authenticity is rare, sacred, and valued. If you feel fractured, battered, and broken, you are not ruined. You are in the process of becoming. You should not be ashamed of breaking, but be courageous in mending.

Keep grinding

YOU DON'T FIND DIAMONDS EASY

Diamonds are never found lying on earth surfaces, waiting to be picked up. They are buried deep in the core of the earth, forged under intense, crushing pressure and scorching, extreme heat. They are not easily revealed, nor are they carelessly found without serious hardwork, and intentional effort. Finding diamonds requires focus, skill, determination, and patience. You have to dig, sweat, and persist, for as long as it would take before you uncover something extraordinary.

Anything valuable in life cannot be gotten on a platter, one have to work to get whatever one wants from life. True love, real success, lasting strength does not comes easy, it must be worked for, or earned. You have to seive through chaff to find something of real value, overcome setbacks to reach your desired destination, and practice to gain perfection in certain crafts.

The most valuable things in the world are not easily seen, nor readily available. Anything that becomes free for all to see, have, use, or own is not valuable or has lost its value. You must protect your valueables, your time, your resources, your health, and yourself. Some things when lost can never be regained or restored to its original state. In your search for value, be sure of what you are looking for, don't pursue the things that look valuable, but actually lack real value.

If you are on your path to your desired future, in the middle of your grind, and you have become unavailable to people who seek you availability for irrelevant engagement, who blame you for your lack of availability, you don't have to be ashamed or apologetic, you are becoming a diamond, and you cannot always be there for everyone. It takes time for diamonds to be formed, so does it also take time and effort for them to be found. Keep going, keep building value, keep developing, soon you will be sought after.

Keep striving forward

DON'T STOP DREAMING

Dreams are the whispers of the souls' earnest desire, the blueprints of a pictured future, and the fuel that keeps driving you forward even when you don't feel like it. They are the visions that keeps us awake when the world is asleep, they are the silent promises we make to ourselves about what we want for tomorrow. However, life does not always say yes to our dreams, it has a way of testing our resolve, it sends disappointments, failures, and setbacks our way making us question the validity and worth of our dreams.

As humans, the moment you stop dreaming, you stop living fully. Every great achievement in history began as a dream. The Wright brothers dreamed of flight before humans ever touched the sky. Martin Luther King Jr. dreamed of justice, and equality before the world saw its manifestation. Your dreams, no matter how big or small, carry immense power, the power to shape reality.

Dreams don't always come true overnight, they require effort, resilience, and an unshakable belief in yourself. Some dreams may evolve, some may take detours, and some may lead you to places you never imagined, but as long as you keep dreaming, you keep growing.

Don't stop dreaming, let your dream roar louder when the world tries to silence you; let your dream stand tall when obstacles stand in your way; when you stumble, let your dreams be the hand that pulls you back up. The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams, those who in the face of tough and difficult challenges keep dreaming, and keep striving. Don't stop dreaming, and one day, you will wake up to find that your dreams have become your reality.

Just keep going

IT GETS TOUGHER WHEN YOU GET CLOSER

The closer you get to something you truly desire, be it on your path to your dream, a goal, or even on your journey to self-discovery, the harder it will become. At the beginning, you are focused on the destination, yet unaware of what lies ahead, you are fresh and energised, but as you move farther from the starting line, and the finish line is nowhere near, you begin to get worried and weary of the journey. The weight of expectation, the fear of failure, and the sheer exhaustion of the journey can make those final steps feel difficult and impossible.

In every endeavour man gets into, the nearer you get to your desired destination, the more resistance you will face. You will hear the whispers of doubts louder than ever; the obstacles will begin to appear taller, and bigger than they have ever been; and the temptation to quit grows stronger. To eventually win, you must become more courageous, more resilient, and more determined than when you started.

When trying to climb a mountain, at the base everything seems cool, and normal, you are just beginning to take the first few steps, and everything is going fine, but as you go higher, it becomes more difficult to breath, your legs begin to shake, your hands are heavier, you are exhausted, and dehydrated, and you begin to feel like turning back, but this is where the real test is, you are closer than ever, so you have to keep going.

The moment you start feeling like quitting, the moment it begins to get tougher, that is the moment when you should reinforce yourself, strengthen yourself, and be determined to keep moving forward. The difficulties are not your signs to stop, rather, they are pointers to your closeness to the destination. Starting is not what matters most, finishing is. So, when the going gets tough, you must get going.

No guts no glory

NO RISK NO STORY

Some of the greatest and most compelling stories that have ever been told or written anywhere in the world are those born from great risk. They are those which have come from facing tough challenges, going against the odds, doing the things they said could never be done, and treading the path they said have never been trodden. The moments when people step into the unknown, face fear, and dare to chase something greater. Without risk, there are no triumphs, no failures, no lessons, and no stories worth telling.

Those you admire today, those you wish you can follow in their footsteps, those who have done the unthinkable, they are the ones who dared what others could not. They swam against the tide, they went all out for what they believed in, they were ordinary people who were ready to do extraordinary things, they chose courage over comfort, they dugged deep and they found gold.

One decision is all it takes to move your life from where it is to where you want it to be. The decision to move even when everything is saying "don't", the decision to face your fears, and take on the things that most scare you. Every risk taken comes with a possibility of success or failure. Whatever the outcome may be, you will be better off in experience, but not taking risk at all only guarantees failure.

Playing it safe may keep you secure, protect you from shame, and failure, but security rarely makes history, nor does it make any difference in the world. The best adventures come when you embrace uncertainty, knowing that even failure becomes part of your success story. A ship is safe in harbour, but that is not what ships are built for, they are built for the seas. The risk you are avoiding could become your greatest story.

Live a full life

MAKE THE MOST OF EVERY MOMENT

Life is a collection of fleeting seconds, minutes, hours, and days, every moment is a precious gift that, once passed, can never be reclaimed. We often let those seconds, minutes, hours, and days slip away from us without maximising them. We allow unproductive routines, worry, and distraction steal away what could have been memories that will last for a lifetime. To live fully we must embrace every moment with intention, gratitude, and presence.

The past is a memory, the future a mystery, all we truly have is the present. Savour every moment, listen to your heartbeat, notice the world around you. Being present can turn ordinary moments into extraordinary ones. Don't delay your joy, enjoy it now; don't wait for another day to be happy, be happy today; there is no perfect time for anything, the best time is now.

Everything changes with time, seasons, relationships, the world, even humans. This change is not something that should scare us or hinder us from taking actions that are necessary for our growth; rather, it should inspire us to push for more, as it is an opportunity for us to also turn whatever is not working in our lives around. The fact that everything changes every time is what makes life even more interesting, and so precious.

A busy life does not always mean a full, or productive one. Fill your days with what truly matters, time with loved ones, connections that enhance your life and that of others, passion for what makes you fulfilled, and kindness showed to strangers. Time is the only currency you spend and cannot earn back. Don't just spend your time, invest it in memories that will last you a lifetime, use it wisely on things that will lights up your soul. In the end, "it is not the years in your life that count, but the life in your years."

Ride on their critism

LET THEIR INSULTS FIRE YOU UP

The sting of criticism can sometimes be so painful that it makes you feel you are worthless; insults can burn so deep into your heart that you begin to think you cannot make anything reasonable of yourself. The truth is, anyone can say anything about you, but their words are not a true reflection of who you are. People's words should not break you down such that you would not want to push forward towards your goal, rather, it should be your fuel to forge on to something bigger, and stronger.

If your ideas are not doubted, if your plans are not tagged crazy, and impossible, then you are not doing anything new, or worthwhile. Every great person who ever achieved anything meaningful faced doubters, and mockers, nevertheless, they rose by refusing to crumble under the weight of scorn but by using it as fuel. When someone say "you can't", show them you can by doing what they say you can't. When they laugh at your ideas, let it sharpen your focus. When they dismiss you, let it harden your resolve.

Weak people are derailed by insults and criticisms, but the strong are driven by it, they are pushed to pursue what the world say they cannot achieve. Every criticism is an opportunity to prove people wrong, every insult is a push to try harder, every jibe is a reminder that you are daring enough to stand where others won't, and you can achieve what they can't.

When people are incapable of doing something, it becomes difficult for them to comprehend that someone else is attempting to do it, and they will make efforts to bring such person to a halt, but you should not let them talk you out of your pursuit. Let them talk, let them doubt, but let their words be the fire that sets your ambition ablaze, and make it roar loud.

Just start

ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY TO START

It is true that the best time to start a thing is far gone, today is the second best time to start. Every sunrise is a new opportunity for a fresh start, a chance to begin again, a silent promise that newness is on the horizon. No matter how many times you have stumbled, and failed; no matter how bad your plans turned out; or how far you have strayed from where you thought you should be, today is another privilege calling you to start over again.

Yesterday might have been filled with defeat, it might not have favoured you in ways you expected, everything you tried to do might have turned out to be a mess, it might not have been like anything you hoped for; today has come with a clean slate, the past does not matter anymore, in fact, it has made you a better person; the past does not define you. The only thing that matters right now is the next step you take.

You do not have to start on a perfect note, it is more important to set yourself in motion right now than to wait for the perfect moment to start. If you do not push yourself to start, you will remain still and stagnant. You might be scared of starting again, because you have failed in the past, but until you build up the courage to try once more, there is no possibility of success in sight. Even if no one believes in you, you must believe in yourself.

Forget about the past, forgive yourself for the mistakes, look forward to what is ahead, plant your feet on the ground and begin from where you are. It will not be easy, but it is worth trying again. Refuse to let a bad yesterday dictate the prospect of a good tomorrow, start today to make tomorrow the type that you want and deserve. This is your moment, start again.
