CLEVER
It is not enough to know a thing, one must know exactly how to use or apply what he knows adequately; you cannot know a thing if you don't learn it, and in learning one must be smart with the process. The earlier you get the concepts that are being put to you the better, but the ultimate thing is to learn, understand, and know how well to apply every knowledge acquired.
Life and people can be tricky, and one must devise means of handling their tricks with wisdom and intelligence. The clever person is not the man who claims to know all even when he knows a lot, he is more interested in knowing more, rather than boast in what he already knows, and if he allows his smartness to get in the way of his learning process, he would have himself to blame for the misfortunes that may follow.
Thomas Mann once said, "There are so many different kinds of stupidity, and cleverness is one of the worst." cleverness is not stupidity, but when it is not properly harnessed, it becomes a difficult problem to solve. You don't always have to do something new, you don't always have to do different things, but doing old things in new ways, and doing existing things differently makes you unique and different.
You don't have to be a genius, you don't have to be the most intelligent, you don't have to be the wisest to get to your desired destination, all you have to do is be ready to learn new things everyday, and be willing to apply smartly the new skills and knowledge, and life will unfold for you smoothly.
