NOBLE
Many would say, "the end justify the means" but true nobility would say "the means is as important as the end". How you become what you become, and how you get what you get is as important, if not more important than what you become or get. Would you proudly tell the story of your journey to your current destination, or you would shy away from telling the truth of your story?
As Ernest Hemingway would say, "there is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow men. True nobility lies in being superior to your former self". Nobility is not who you are in relation to others, it is who you are in relation to who you were yesterday. Your former self must always be jealous of the new you, every new day must dawn with a new you, a better you.
Doing what is right at all times irrespective of who is looking is nobility; helping others, showing kindness, expressing love are the real attributes and characteristics of noble men. You do not have to do great and mighty things to be noble, you just have to do and carry out little acts in noble ways to become a noble man.
We must go after being good and noble; we must seek to set others free from unknown shackles and bondage; we must enlighten others to see the brighter side of life, rather stifle their hopes of a better future; we must lighten people's burden than be a burden, a problem and a cause of pain to them. Like Mark Twain once said, "to be good is noble; but to show others how to be good is nobler and no trouble". The highest form of nobility is to open up NOBLE paths for others to become NOBLE men.
