EXPECTATIONS

EXPECTATIONS

The only person from which we must have expectations is ourselves. Expecting things from others is the quickest and easiest way to disappointment. The best way to reality and the accomplishment of something is not to expect it from others, but to get into the action of doing and getting it done by one's self.

If you must expect something from people either by promise they made to you, or by some sort of responsibility, it must not be taken too seriously but lightly. Brandon Sanderson once said, "Expectations were like fine pottery. The harder you held them, the more likely they were to crack." The intensity with which you expect will be in direct proportion to the intensity of your disappointment or otherwise.

When you stop expecting from people what you can do for yourself, you will become more of an active rather than a passive individual, you will take your own life more seriously, you will live a much better life, and you will accomplish more than your own expectations.

By your actions and activities, by the way you live your life, do you expect to be what you want, or wish to be? Are you going in the direction of your dreams? Are you making progress reasonable enough for accomplishment of your desires? Life does not respond to mere wish, or expectations, life does not honour dreams, but life responds to and honour actions, determination, dedication and pursuit. EXPECTATIONS can give you everything you want, but most times it gives you disappointment.
