DIGNITY
"One's dignity may be assaulted, vandalized and cruelly mocked, but it can never be taken away unless it is surrendered." these are the words of Michael J. Fox on our ability to project and protect ourselves in the best way possible and necessary through upholding what is rightly ours, 'the sanity and dignity of the human life'.
You have the right to whatever you want to have and whatever you want to do, be it in acquisition and development of different things, such as, material possessions, knowledge, beliefs, character, and attitude. But it must also be understood that whatever these things come with are a result of one's decisions and choices and should be ready to bear the consequences.
Laura Hillenbrand in the book ‘Unbroken’ wrote, “Dignity is as essential to human life as water, food, and oxygen.” Dignity presence or absence of dignity will determine a man's productivity, self esteem, respect, and effectiveness at whatever they do. A man that has lost his dignity is a man that has got nothing left to leave for other than redeeming his dignity.
We must treat everyone around us with dignity and respect, we must protect the dignity of the people with whom we have direct or indirect relationships, a treat on the dignity of one, is a treat on the dignity of all. Every man deserves to be respected, protected, and honoured irrespective of class, age, gender, creed, or race, but as much as we be careful with the dignity of others, we must also not joke with ours, DIGNITY is the life and right of every man.
