Stand tall and own your ground

DON'T BE A DOORMAT

Life is too short, and time is too valuable to be spent flattened under someone else's boots. Being a doormat is not just about letting people wipe their feet on you, it is surrendering your power, your time, and your self-worth to those who don't deserve it. You have dreams, talents, and a fire inside of you that is meant to blaze, not smolder under the weight of everyone else's demands. You should not settle for being the backdrop when you could be the star of your own story.

Every time you say yes when you mean no, you are chipping away your foundation, you are selling off your value, and worth cheaply; you are invariably telling others that it is okay to take without giving, to demand without respect. However, the truth is, you are not obliged to fix everyone's problems, absorb their negativity, or twist yourself into some snacks to get people's approval. That is not kindness, it is self-sabotage. Real strength comes from knowing your value and protecting it fiercely.

Know your worth, declare it unapologetically. Say no if you have to, it is not being rude, it is being intentional. Set boundaries, and keep them. Don't be intimidated by other people's choices, decisions, and outcomes, your path, your journey, and your destinations are different. Surround yourself with people who support your journey, understand your struggles, and accept your story; they will lift you up, and not step on you.

It is high time you rise up, enough of being a doormat. Pick up yourself, dust off yourself, and claim your space in the room. If you do not rise up to who you are meant to be, no one will lift you to where you are meant to be. You are more than an object on the field, you are a subject, a major actor, so get up and play your role. You are not to be flattened out, you are to stand tall, climb up, and keep going higher.

To a better you, Kamikun John.
