INSTINCT
Most of man's responses are based on instinct. These are unlearned, unteachable behavioral patterns that man exhibits in response to certain stimulations, and happenings. A baby is not thought how to cry, smile back at a smiling adult, react to light rays, and many more. Instinct is nature's gift, it is inborn and a necessity for survival, and growth.
Dismissing the relevance, purpose, and application of instinct is at a great detrimental disadvantage to whoever does so. Agatha Christie once said, "Instinct is a marvelous thing. It can neither be explained nor ignored". We may not be able to fully define or explain the source of it, but we cannot neglect nor ignore it.
We must always seek knowledge, hunger for more wisdom, and crave to understand, we cannot neglect the place of personal growth and development in every sphere of our living and existence, but one thing is true: we cannot outgrow or out-develop our instinct, it will always be ahead of us, it will always speak to us, it is left for us to listen or not.
In the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson who said, "Trust instinct to the end, even though you can give no reason". David Gemmellalso reiterated when he said, "Trust your instincts, and make judgements on what your heart tells you. The heart will not betray you". Do not underestimate the power your instinct possess, listen to it more often, trust it more, it will never lead you astray. Your INSTINCT is your map, use it well.
