DEFIANT

The man who is not ready to face the storm; the man who is not ready to break the rules, and set new ones; the man who will sit still, and hope that fortune will one day smile on him; the man who is not ready to defy the odds, is a man that will be badly beaten, bruised, and battered by life, that he would have wished he never came here.

Life will throw at you everything and anything, it is left for you to determine what you want to accept and that which you will reject. No one can push you to become what you should be, only you can help yourself to your dreams by what you accept, or reject, what you do or don't do. Until you determine the direction of your life, you will not be able to move forward.

Steven Strogatz once said, "When you create something new, you are breaking tradition - which is an act of defiance." If you don't break tradition, you can't do something new, you can't be unique, you can't be different, you can't change the status quo. Life is about being unique, and establishing who you are, and what you want to be, if you do not you would be living another man's life, on another man's terms.

Go against the grain, be defiant to the limitations that hold you down, face your challenges without fear, row into the storm, life has a way of making a way for the man who would not take no for an answer. Until you get what you want, quitting is not an option. Be DEFIANT, keep moving.
