GRAIL

GRAIL

Human wants are of a surety and wide knowledge insatiable. Though he is always in search of that holy grail; that thing which his heart so desires; that which he wants so badly, that he wouldn't stop at anything else until he gets it; the thing he earnestly craves for.

Because he would not quit until he gets it, he would get; because he feels unfulfilled until he achieves it, he will achieve it; because he would give all it takes to have it, he will have it; but will that be all he would want? The moment he gets the holy grail, his attention, desire, and craving will shift to something bigger, something seemingly more satisfying, but after he has gotten that too, after he has achieved his cravings will he want no more? Obviously, no.

We must understand that we can not be satisfied by our wants, but we must pursue only those things which will have permanent, and lasting effect on those around us, and on us particularly. Pleasure fades, satisfaction is quickly eroded, but effects are long lasting. Until we go after the quality, real, and most important things of life, we will never reach satisfaction.

Matthew chapter six, verse twenty one recorded the words of Jesus who said, "for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." Where is your treasure? What is your treasure? Is it worth taking your heart with it? Answer these questions for yourself, and see if that thing is worth all it takes from you. Go after what you want, pursue that GRAIL, but be sure it is worth it.
