TEACHABLE

The man who is always ready to be taught is a man that will always grow irrespective of the his status, and situation. Teachability is a very important virtue for every man, but only a few have it. Being ready to learn from others gives us the opportunity to be able to go down the path they have been through without going through their experiences.

Criss Jami once said, "The unteachable man is sentenced to being taught only by experience. The tragedy is he reaches nothing further than his own pain." when a man is unteachable, he will have to experience by himself what he would have escaped through teaching, thereby causing him to lose reasonable time, and even experience unwanted tragedies.

Curiosity is a big stem in the tree of teachability, one who would be teachable must be curious to learn, to know, and to understand, he must be open to learning from whoever has what he needs irrespective of age, class, and status; he must be open minded and ready to question everything he already knows if they are valid truths or fables.

Every new day is a opportunity to learn new things, to sit at a teacher's feet and be taught, to be a beginner at something new, and fatten our banks of knowledge. Make every opportunity count, in life everyone is a learner at one thing or the other no matter how old you are. Today's lessons are a step higher from yesterday's lessons, so learn every day, and remain TEACHABLE.
