Real value are sometimes hidden.

ALL THAT GLITTERS IS NOT GOLD

In today's society, there is an overwhelming emphasis on perfection, particularly through the lens of social media. Images are carefully curated, filtered, and edited to depict a life that appears flawless. However, this façade can create unrealistic expectations, leading individuals to believe that the glittering exteriors of others' lives are genuine reflections of happiness or success. In reality, what lies beneath the surface often tells a different story, one filled with struggles, imperfections, and challenges.

True value is found in substance rather than superficial glitter. Character, integrity, kindness, and resilience are qualities that bear more weight than external possessions or accolades. When forming relationships or evaluating opportunities, it is essential to look for these deeper attributes rather than getting caught up in the allure of wealth or status. Genuine connections are based on mutual respect and understanding, rather than appearances.

Chasing after material possessions can lead to a hollow existence. The constant pursuit of the latest trends, luxury items, or societal validation can overshadow what is truly important in life: happiness, fulfillment, and meaningful relationships. Acknowledging that not everything that glitters is gold helps us prioritize what genuinely matters. True wealth often lies in experiences, relationships, and personal growth rather than in material accumulation.

Cultivating an appreciation for authenticity allows us to see beyond the surface and recognize the beauty in the imperfect. Embracing our flaws and accepting our vulnerabilities makes us relatable and grounded. This authenticity extends to our interactions with others, encouraging honesty and sincerity in all our relationships. Recognize the gold that lies within and around you, and you will discover the richness of a life well-lived.

Grind till you hit.

SUSTAIN YOUR GRIT.

One unique trait distinguishes those who achieve greatness from those who give up in the face of adversity, and that is 'grit'. Grit is the unwavering determination to pursue long-term goals, fueled by passion and resilience. Anyone who would achieve greatness must sustain their grit, their determination, and their drive over an extended period of time. It is an essential act, especially in a world filled with challenges and distractions.

You must be passionate about your dreams if your grit would be sustained. Passion is the emotional energy that propels you forward towards your goal. Engaging in activities that excite and inspire you as you go will keep your motivation high. Invest time in understanding what you truly love and integrate it into your pursuits. Passionate involvement enhances personal commitment, and helps sustain your grit through challenges.

One way to keep your grit running high is by establishing a consistent routine. Developing a focused routine can help you build habits that sustain grit. Regular practice, regardless of immediate results reinforces your commitment and builds momentum. Even on tough days, sticking to your routine reinforces discipline and helps you stay focused on your goals.

Sustaining grit requires a healthy mind and body. Prioritize taking good care of yourself through regular exercise, healthy eating, and adequate rest. Mindfulness practices like meditation can enhance mental clarity and focus, helping you maintain your drive when faced with obstacles. You must not forget to always reconnect with the reasons that inspire you to pursue your goals. You must always remember your 'why'. When faced with difficulties, reflecting on your 'why' can reignite your passion and determination. Keeping your purpose at the forefront reinforces your commitment and gives you the strength to sustain your grit.

You can begin again.

IT IS NEVER TOO LATE TO START AGAIN.

The notion of beginning anew can sometimes be intimidating. We worry about judgment from others, the time we have lost, or the fear of failing again. However, every great achievement in history has been preceded by setbacks and challenges. Renowned figures like J.K. Rowling and Colonel Sanders faced numerous rejections before finding success. Their stories remind us that every ending can lead to a new beginning.

Reinvention can occur at any stage, and it often brings with it a renewed sense of purpose. The world is full of possibilities waiting to be explored. In reinventing yourself, you have to celebrate each accomplishment in your new endeavour, no matter how minor it may seem, as it fuels your motivation to keep moving forward.

On the journey to reinvention, you should surround yourself with a supportive network of friends who encourage your journey and share their own experiences with you. Nevertheless, if no one supports you, you must carry your cross with pride and ensure you succeed at it. In the end, life is about growth, resilience, and the courage to take that first step. Embrace the possibility of starting again with an open heart and a clear mind. Every moment offers a new opportunity to redefine your path and pursue your dreams. Cherish your possessions.

DON’T WASTE WHAT YOU HAVE.

Sometimes, our greed fuelled pursuit for more, and the urge for competition makes it easy for us to overlook the value of what we already possess. Whether it is time, relationships, talent, or resources, recognizing and appreciating what we have is crucial to living a fulfilling life. Time is one of our most precious resources, yet it frequently slips away unnoticed in the hustle of daily routines. We must not waste it on trivial matters or unfulfilling pursuits. Instead, invest it in experiences that enrich your life, nurture your passions, and strengthen your relationships. Time spent with loved ones, engaging in meaningful work, or simply enjoying nature brings immeasurable joy and fulfillment.

Relationships are treasures that often go unappreciated until they fade. Take the time to nurture connections with family, friends, and colleagues. A simple gesture, a phone call, a handwritten note, or a shared meal can reinforce bonds and create lasting memories. Don’t let misunderstandings or neglect waste the potential for deeper connections.

Your talents and skills are gifts meant to be shared. Wasting them by playing it safe or staying within the confines of comfort zones limits not only your potential but also the positive impact you can have on others. Embrace opportunities for growth, challenge yourself, and dare to step outside your comfort zone. When you use your abilities to the fullest, you inspire others and contribute to a greater good.

Resources, whether financial or material, also warrant mindful management. We must be intentional in how we allocate our resources. We can support causes that matter to us, engage in sustainable practices, and consider the long-term implications of our choices. Wasting resources not only affects our future but can also have a ripple effect on the larger community and environment. The beauty of life lies in its transient nature; cherish what you have while you can, and harness it to create a lasting legacy. Every moment is an opportunity; seize it, and don’t let it slip away unnoticed.

Failure is a path to success.

DO NOT FEAR FAILURE.

Failure is often seen as one of life’s greatest adversaries, instilling fear and anxiety in those who dare to pursue their dreams. However, embracing failure rather than fearing it can unlock a pathway to growth, learning, and eventual success. It is essential to reframe our understanding of failure as a necessary component of the journey toward achieving our goals.

It is important to acknowledge that failure is universal. Every successful person has encountered setbacks and obstacles along the way. In many cases, these failures serve as stepping stones, providing invaluable lessons that pave the way for future success. Rather than viewing failure as a definitive end, see it as an opportunity to learn. Each mistake offers insights that can refine your approach and enhance your skills.

The fear of failure can stifle creativity and innovation. When we become overly concerned with making mistakes, we might avoid taking risks altogether. This reluctance can prevent us from exploring new ideas or pursuing passions that could lead to extraordinary outcomes. When we embrace failure, we create an environment where experimentation is welcomed, and creativity can flourish. Some of the most groundbreaking ideas and creations in the world today have emerged from repeated failures and the willingness to try again.

When we face setbacks and learn to rise from them, we cultivate a sense of strength and determination. This resilience not only prepares us for future challenges but also instills confidence in our abilities. Each time we rise after a fall, we reinforce the belief that we can overcome obstacles and achieve our goals. Do not fear failure; instead, welcome it as an integral part of the journey. Approach challenges with curiosity and an open mind, knowing that each setback brings you closer to your goals. It is through our failures that we develop wisdom, resilience, and the courage to pursue our passions. Embrace failure, learn from it, and let it propel you forward on your path to success.

Kindness is winner.

ALWAYS CHOOSE KINDNESS.

When faced with choices between self aggrandisement, and showing kindness, making others feel better, kindness may not be the easiest choice, but it is always the best choice. In a world that often feels divided, a simple yet profound act of kindness has the power to create ripples of positivity and connections. Choosing kindness is not merely an option, it is a transformative choice that enhances our lives and the lives of those around us.

Kindness is a universal language that transcends barriers. A warm smile, a helping hand, or a few words of encouragement can have a significant impact. These simple gestures can brighten someone's day, foster trust, and create a sense of belonging. When we choose kindness, we contribute to a culture that values empathy and compassion, making our communities stronger and more resilient. One act of kindness can set off a domino effect. When we extend kindness to others, we inspire them to do the same. This ripple effect can transform not only individual lives but entire communities.

Choosing kindness can be particularly powerful during challenging times. In moments of frustration, stress, or conflict, responding with kindness can defuse tensions and promote understanding. Choosing kindness extends beyond our interactions with others; it also involves how we treat ourselves. Practicing self-kindness means accepting our imperfections, being patient with our shortcomings, and nurturing a positive self-image. By treating ourselves with the same compassion we extend to others, we cultivate resilience and inner peace, enabling us to share that kindness more freely.

Choosing kindness is a daily commitment. Every morning is an opportunity to decide how we will engage with the world. Whether it is holding the door for someone, complimenting a colleague, or listening actively to a friend, small acts can create meaningful moments. By incorporating kindness into our daily routines, we can make it a natural part of who we are. Kindness is free, and its impact is immeasurable, choose it, share it, and watch the world change for the better.

Shield what you value.

PROTECT YOUR TREASURE.

In life, we often accumulate treasures, these can be physical possessions, relationships, dreams, or personal values. Each of these treasures holds significant importance and contributes to our overall happiness and fulfillment. Just as one would safeguard a physical treasure, it is essential to protect these invaluable aspects of our lives.

The first step in protecting your treasure is identifying what truly matters to you. This could be anything from family and friendships to your health, career ambitions, or creative passions. Recognizing these treasures allows you to prioritize them and establish a framework for protection. Our emotional and mental well-being is one of the most valuable treasures we possess. It is crucial to nurture this aspect by cultivating relationships that uplift you and distancing yourself from negativity. Set boundaries that shield your mental space and practice self-care rituals that replenish your emotional reserves. Just as a treasured artifact needs care to maintain its beauty, your heart and mind require attention to thrive.

Relationships are often our most prized treasures. To protect them, invest time and effort into communication, trust-building, and shared experiences. Engage in active listening, resolve conflicts with empathy, and celebrate the milestones together. Show appreciation for the people in your life, as gratitude strengthens bonds and reinforces the significance of these connections.

Your aspirations and goals are treasures that deserve protection too, you must safeguard them. Surround yourself with supportive individuals who inspire you and hold you accountable. Protect your vision from negativity and self-doubt; remind yourself of your worth and capabilities. Protect your core values and beliefs, which are foundational to your identity. In a world filled with differing opinions and influences, staying true to yourself is vital. Stand firm in your convictions while remaining open to growth and learning.

Don't let your story be told, tell it.

WRITE YOUR OWN STORY.

An African proverb says, "until the Lion tells his own story, the tale of the hunt will always glorify the hunter." Until you you write your own story, no one will know how bravely you have fought, they will only see the scars you carry. Writing your own story is also a way of taking control of your life narrative. Each person is the author of their own experiences, thoughts, and dreams. In a world filled with external influences and societal expectations, it is essential to remember that we have the power to shape our own paths.

Writing your own story means defining your values, setting your goals, and making choices that resonate with who you truly are. It encourages self-reflection, and urges you to assess what truly matters to you, rather than simply following the scripts laid out by others. It is also about telling the world where you have come from, the difficulties on your journey, the hurdles, how you have been able to cross them all, and the victories you have had.

You have to recognizing that it is a journey, not a destination. There will be twists and turns, moments of triumph, and times of struggle. Each chapter contributes to personal growth and resilience. Embracing uncertainty can lead to new adventures and opportunities for learning. When you write your own story you allow for creativity and imagination. You are able to dream big and envision a future that aligns with your aspirations. Through this lens, obstacles become opportunities for plot development rather than dead ends.

Empower yourself by scripting how you want to live your life, and encourage others by letting them know how you have lived your life. Find your voice, embrace your individuality, and manifest the life you desire. Your story is waiting to be told, your manifestation is earnestly expected, you are the hero of your own narrative. Make it a tale of courage, hope, and authenticity, one page at a time.

Easy adventure leads to difficult endings.

DON’T JOIN THE EASY CROWD.

In a world that often values comfort and conformity over individuality, originality, and creativity it is tempting to always gravitate towards the easy crowd. This group represents the familiar, the path of least resistance, the path of public opinion, where opinions are shared, and actions are taken in unison without much thought. However, joining this easy crowd often leads to complacency, stifled potential, and a life that merely exists rather than thrives.

The choice not to follow the easy crowd is a conscious decision to embrace challenges and forge your own path. It means standing up for your beliefs, pursuing your passions, and taking the road less traveled, even when it is fraught with obstacles. This choice cultivates resilience and character, shaping you into a more authentic version of yourself. The easy crowd may offer a fleeting sense of belonging, but true fulfillment comes from surrounding yourself with individuals who inspire and challenge you.

Seek out those who push you to think critically, expand your horizons, and encourage personal growth. These relationships, although sometimes uncomfortable, will enrich your life and foster genuine connections. Stepping away from the easy crowd helps nurture creativity and innovation. When you think independently, you open the door to new ideas and possibilities. Many of the world’s greatest achievements and breakthroughs have arisen from those brave enough to defy the norm and venture into the unknown.

In essence, do not be deterred by the allure of the easy crowd. Embrace the challenges and uncertainties that come with choosing your own path. Greatness is often born from struggle, and the most rewarding journeys are rarely the easiest ones. By forging your own path, you not only honour your true self but also inspire others to do the same. The world needs more trailblazers, those who dare to think differently and challenge the status quo. Choose to be one of them.

Celebrate to grow.

ALWAYS CELEBRATE LIFE.

Life is a precious, and priceless gift, filled with moments to cherish and celebrate. While challenges and obstacles are an inevitable part of life, it is essential to shift our focus toward gratitude and appreciation for the journey we are on. Sometimes, it is tough to celebrate when we think others have gone ahead of us, and passed the level we currently are and want to celebrate. When we celebrate life, irrespective of our level, we foster a positive mindset that can uplift not only ourselves but those around us.

Every day offers opportunities for celebration, whether it is a small victory, a cherished moment with loved ones, or simply the beauty of a sunset. Acknowledging these moments allows us to cultivate joy and satisfaction in our lives. Celebrating life does not always require grand gestures; even the simplest things, a warm cup of coffee, a smile from a stranger, or a heartfelt conversation, deserve recognition.

When we celebrate life, we show a lot of resilience, and our resolve to live life fully, rather than endure, and go through life with fear and timidity. It reminds us that despite hardship, there is always something to be thankful for. Embracing this mindset helps us navigate challenges with grace and optimism. It encourages us to find meaning in our experiences and cultivates a sense of hope for the future.

We should always take time to celebrate your achievements, both big and small. Recognize the milestones that shape your journey, and don’t forget to appreciate the everyday moments that bring joy. Share your celebrations with others, whether through words, gatherings, or simple acts of kindness, and spread positivity. Each moment we celebrate is a reminder that we are alive, thriving, and capable of creating beautiful memories. Embrace every opportunity to recognize the richness of your existence and inspire others to do the same. Life is worth celebrating, today and every day.

Want success? work towards it.

SUCCESS IS A CHOICE.

Success is often seen as a destination, an end goal to be achieved through hard work, talent, and a bit of luck. However, success is fundamentally a choice, a mindset that transforms our intentions into actions and our dreams into reality. One must first define what success means. It varies from person to person, some may view it as achieving career milestones, while others may find it in personal development, relationships, or contributions to society. By understanding your unique vision of success, you create a clear path for your journey..

The choice of success begins with a mindset. A positive attitude can act as a springboard, propelling you towards your goals. Embracing challenges, learning from failures, and maintaining resilience are choices that can catapult you closer to your vision of success. When obstacles arise, having a mindset that sees them as opportunities for growth rather than barriers can make all the difference.

Success is also about taking initiative. It involves making choices every day that align with your desired outcomes. Whether it is setting goals, seeking education, networking, or stepping out of your comfort zone, each action you take is a conscious decision that shapes your future. Remember, inaction is also a choice, often leading to missed opportunities and unfulfilled potential. Choosing success requires persistence and discipline. The road to success is rarely linear; it often includes setbacks and detours. Committing to your goals, even when the initial excitement fades is a choice that separates those who succeed from those who don’t.

Another crucial choice is the company you keep. Surrounding yourself with positive, like-minded individuals can inspire and motivate you. Conversely, negativity can be contagious, hindering your progress. Being selective about your social environment is vital in maintaining a mindset conducive for success. Ultimately, the choice to succeed lies within you; it is about making intentional decisions every day that align with your goals.

Embrace freedom.

LET IT GO

When we become attached to certain things it becomes difficult for us to let go even when it no longer serves us. Sometimes, letting go is associated with the process of releasing negative emotions, past experiences, or burdens that hold us back. If we must be progressive in our endeavors we must embrace change, prioritize mental well-being, and move forward with our lives. Letting go can apply to various aspects of life, such as relationships, expectations, regrets, or fears.

Holding onto past grievances can weigh heavily on the heart and mind, leading to stress, anxiety, and unhappiness, but when we choose to let go, we are acknowledging the past but refusing to allow it to dictate our present or future. This process often involves self-reflection and acceptance. It requires recognizing that healing and growth come from within. It may also necessitate forgiving oneself or others, which can be a challenging but liberating step.

Letting go does not mean forgetting; rather, it means accepting what has happened and choosing to focus on positive experiences and the potential for new beginnings. Practicing mindfulness, meditation, or journaling can aid in the process of letting go. These techniques help in cultivating awareness, clarifying feelings, and fostering a sense of peace. Surrounding oneself with supportive friends or seeking help from those who are ready, willing, and experienced enough to give it can also be beneficial in this journey.

We open up ourselves for new, and better experiences, paves the way for personal growth and renewed opportunities, and many more when we let go. Our hearts and minds become open to new relationships, and greater possibilities. By releasing what no longer serves us, we create space for joy, contentment, and authenticity in our lives. Letting go is not just an act of release, it is an embrace of freedom and a commitment to living fully in the present.

Let the flames refine you.

DON'T BE BOTHERED BY FLAMES.

A Life without difficulties is a life that is going nowhere in life. The journey of life is full of obstacles and challenges. From time to time, we encounter situations that may cause us stress, anxiety, or discomfort. These situations may appear to be too much for us to handle, and we may feel overwhelmed or burnt out by them. However, it is important to remember that just like a phoenix rising from the ashes, we too can rise above the flames. Rather than being bothered by the flames, we can use them as a catalyst for growth and personal transformation.

Fire has the power to transform and purify. Gold passes through fire and is not dissolved, rather, it comes out on the other side cleaner, purer, and better. When we are faced with difficulties and challenges, we can choose to let them consume us, or we use them as an opportunity to become stronger and more resilient. We can use these experiences to learn and grow, gaining new insights and perspectives along the way.

We should not be afraid of the flames. Instead, we should embrace them, and use them to become the best version of yourself. Every time we overcome a challenge, we become a step closer to our goals and aspirations. We become more confident and capable of handling the curveballs life throws at us, and we emerge from the flames stronger and wiser than before. Franklin D. Roosevelt once said, “a smooth sea never made a skilled sailor,” if we would become good enough to face future challenges, we must face and overcome present difficulties.

Whenever you find yourself in the midst of tough situations (flames), remember that they are not a threat but an opportunity. Take a deep breath, gather your courage, and use the situation as a chance to grow and transform. Don't be bothered by the flames; use them as fuel for your personal growth and journey towards a better, satisfying, and more fulfilled life.

Reach for your best.

AIM FOR THE MOON.

The only way through which one can become successful in life is by setting ambitious, high-reaching goals, striving for excellence, and pushing beyond one's limits. In other words, you have to aim for the moon. There will be challenges and difficulties on the way, but we must find means of encouraging ourselves and those around us to dream big and aim for the highest possible goal, rather than setting easily attainable objectives. When you aim for the moon, if you fall short you can land among the stars, but if you aim lower, you can miss out entirely.

We needs to have a clear idea of our goals and objectives. It is essential to set realistic and achievable targets that align with the overall vision. However, it is equally critical to set goals that challenge our abilities and push us out of their comfort zone. There is nothing enviable in comfort zones. We must go out of our lanes, seek great adventures, and look beyond the norm, for greatness is not achieved lightly.

Once we have set our goals, it is essential to create a plan of action that outlines the necessary steps and resources needed to achieve the target. Break the goal into smaller milestones and set deadlines to measure progress and keep track of the progress made. Achieving big goals requires hard work, dedication, and perseverance. There will be obstacles and challenges along the way, but it is essential to stay focused on the end goal and keep pushing forward.

We must keep faith in ourself and our ability to achieve our desired outcome. Associating with supportive and encouraging people can provide us with necessary motivation and inspiration needed to reach for the stars. By aiming high and pushing ourself beyond limits, we have a greater chance of achieving great things and reach our full potential.

Quit playing the losers game.

REVENGE IS A LOSERS GAME.

Revenge is often seen as a way to get back at someone who has wronged us or hurt us in some way, we see it as paying back someone in their own coin. It can be a tempting choice when we feel angry or betrayed, especially by those who we feel should always have our backs, but ultimately, revenge is a losing game. Seeking revenge only perpetuates a cycle of negativity and harm. It rarely provides the sense of closure or satisfaction we seek, and often only leaves us feeling more empty and hurt than before.

The urge to take revenge can become all-consuming, taking our focus away from more important things in life, cluttering our minds with evil thoughts, and damaging our relationships with others. It leads to a downward spiral of negative emotions like bitterness, resentment, and anger, which can impact our mental health, self-esteem, and overall well-being. It also degrades us to the level of an unforgiving, and selfish individual.

Instead of seeking revenge, it is better to focus on healing and moving forward. We can choose to forgive those who have wronged us, not for their sake but for our own inner peace and happiness. Forgiveness allows us to let go of negative emotions, giving us the freedom to live freely and grow unhindered. Only strong men forgive, weak men cannot forgive. Like Mahatma Gandhi said, "The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong."

It takes strength and courage to resist the urge for revenge, but in the end, it is always worth it. Choosing forgiveness and compassion will ultimately bring greater happiness and fulfillment in life, while revenge will only create further pain and suffering. However painful the hurt may be, however deep the wounds may be, we must find a way to let forgiveness rule over our urge for revenge, we must ensure to let peace reign over chaos, we must quit playing the losers game of revenge.

Put in the effort, get the results.

THE LAND IS GREEN, WHERE IT IS WATERED.

We sometimes envy people's progress, their seemingly smooth lifestyle, and success, and wish we were enjoying the goodness in their lives. As a matter of fact, we can enjoy those things too, but we must do the work that is needed to achieve and live that kind of livestyle. The grass can be green anywhere only if the ground is watered. Growth, success, and prosperity are directly linked to the amount of effort and resources we invest in a particular endeavor, just as plants and crops require water to thrive.

When we take time to put in sincere effort into personal growth and development, and devote energy into self-improvement, we can nourish our inner selves and create a fulfilling life for ourselves. It is not enough to react to what we see on the surface, we must look inwards and deeper into the elements that have created the effect that we see others exhibit in the way they live, and be ready to activate the same principles in our lives so as to achieve the same results.

Sometimes, we put in a lot of efforts into an endeavour expecting instant yields, and results, but we have to allow the process of time to take its effect. It takes more time to repair something that has been damaged, as against something that has to be built freshly. Everything works on the principles of time and season, and understanding this principle will help us a great deal in achieving our dreams, desires, and objectives.

Irrespective of what our goals and visions are in life, no matter what we want to achieve, if we will diligently do what is required of us, if we will take the bull by the horn, and begin at once to pursue our dreams, we will be closer to it than staying stuck and stagnant. Positive outcomes can only be achieved through diligent work and focused investment. Success is not guaranteed anywhere, but by putting in the necessary effort, we increase our chances of achieving our desired outcomes.

Don't let your dream slip away.

STICK TO YOUR VISION.

No one is coming to save you. The earlier you understand this truth, the better it is. Your life and what becomes of it is entirely your responsibility. Your dreams and visions are the elevators to your desired destiny, and they can be achieved only through focus and determination. You must stick to your vision, and align your actions towards achieving your goals and objectives. This will require you to be clear with what you want to achieve and create a workable roadmap to accomplish it.

Having a clear vision helps us stay focused and motivated, especially in times of uncertainty, and in the face of obstacles. To stick to your vision, you need to start by setting SMART goals - Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Time-bound. These goals should be aligned with your vision and should help you move closer to it. Write down your goals, create a plan, and take action towards achieving them.

It is essential to remain committed to your vision even when faced with challenges and setbacks. The road towards achieving your vision may not always be smooth, but with persistence and determination, you can overcome obstacles and move forward. You can review your goals and progress regularly and make adjustments as needed. You will need to be disciplined and focused in your quest. Avoid getting distracted by things that do not align with your goals. Learn to say "No" to things that do not take you closer to your vision. Stay focused on your priorities and use your time and energy effectively.

Surround yourself with people who support your vision and inspire you to keep pushing forward. Connect with like-minded individuals who share similar goals and values. Seek feedback and guidance from mentors and role models who have achieved similar success. When you have decided to stay true to your vision, and you are determined and ready to work towards it, you can achieve your goals, realize your potential, and live your most fulfilling life.

Character is like a smoke.

CHARACTER CANNOT BE HIDDEN.

It is not uncommon to find someone behaving in a manner that does not reflect who they truly are. Sometimes, people do this to hide something in their character that is an obvious flaw; unfortunately, it is never hidden for long. One's character is like smoke in a jar, no matter how long you try to hide it, it will always find a way out. A person's true nature and values will inevitably be revealed through their words, actions, and behavior.

In personal relationships, in the workplace, in politics, and in the society at large. Those who possess strong character, such as honesty, integrity, and empathy, tend to consistently demonstrate these qualities in their behavior, earning the respect and trust of others. Conversely, those with negative character traits, such as selfishness, deceitfulness, or aggression, will attempt to conceal these traits, and portray themselves in a certain way, but their true character will eventually come through, they will exhibit these traits over time, making others to view them unfavorably.

In whatever we do, we must be genuine and true to ourselves, recognizing that our actions and behavior will reflect our true nature. We must remember that building a strong character takes time, effort and self-reflection, and that the virtues we embody can shape our reputation and impact those around us.

When dealing with someone whose true character we are not sure of, we don't have to be hasty in deciding where or how to place them; or dig too deep to discover their true character, we just have to exercise a little patience, and soon they will display openly their true self. Good character exposes one to potential growth opportunities capable of taking one to enviable heights, but bad character degrades, and destroys one's reputation. You must choose and build your character wisely, otherwise, you will be the author of your own unfortunate, and unfavourable situation.

Beat yourself before you are beaten.

CONQUER YOURSELF.

One who would win numerous battles and have victories in countless wars must first conquer himself. We must be reminded of the need and importance of self-discipline and the strength that comes from overcoming our own limitations. At some point in our lives, we will all face challenges that may seem insurmountable. These could range from personal struggle with addiction to a difficult relationship with a friend or family member, or even just the challenge of achieving a long-term goal.

The key to overcoming these difficulties is in our readiness to be buried in our dreams and vision, and be devoted to the act of beating out our laziness, flushing away the lack lustre attitudes, and dealing with the indiscipline that holds us down. If we would conquer ourselves, we must face all our challenges head-on. We must be honest with ourselves about our strengths and weaknesses and be willing to put in the hard work necessary to overcome these obstacles.

Self-discipline is key in this process. We must be willing to make sacrifices and stay committed to our goals, even when it feels difficult or impossible. This requires us to take control of our emotions and impulses, and to resist the temptation to give up or give in. Through this process, we slowly begin to build confidence in ourselves and our ability to overcome any obstacle. We begin to see that we are capable of achieving greatness, and that the only limit to our success is ourselves.

Ultimately, conquering ourselves requires embracing the journey, not just to appreciate the destination. We must be willing to learn from our mistakes, grow from our failures, and celebrate our successes along the way. When we do this, we truly become the masters of our lives and the conquerors of ourselves, and everything else that may want to hinder us from reaching our destination and achieving our goals.

Nothing comes cheap.

PAY YOUR DUES.

Nothing worthy of note is ever achieved with ease, or given on a platter, you must pay your dues to be able to reach certain heights or achieve some feats. From the worlds of business and sports to the arts and beyond, if you would become a force to be reckoned with, you have to give what it takes. "Paying your dues" refers to the idea that success and achievement in any field requires hard work, dedication, and perseverance. You can not achieve greatness without first putting in the time and effort.

There is no particular way or order in which you must pay your dues, it can take different forms depending on the field you are in. In the business world, one might have to start at the bottom of the ladder and work his way up, doing grunt work and learning the ropes before being able to take on more significant responsibilities. In sports, it might have to do with putting in countless hours of training and practice, and mastering certain moves and techniques before you can compete at the highest levels.

While paying your dues can sometimes feel frustrating or demoralising, especially if you are working hard and not seeing immediate results, there are many benefits to doing so. It helps ensure that you have a solid foundation of skills and experiences to build on as you move forward. By taking the time to learn the basics and gain hands-on experience in your field, you will be better equipped to tackle more challenging tasks and difficulties down the road.

When you have paid your dues, you would have built up your credibility and gain the respect of your colleagues, peers, and others who are in your field or circle. Paying your dues is not a one-time thing. Even when you have achieved a certain level of success in your field, it is important to continue working hard and growing as an individual. By embracing the mindset of paying your dues, you will be setting yourself up for long-term success and fulfillment, and that is something you will, and should be proud of.

Stand where you belong.

KNOW YOUR PLACE.

Different people value us differently, and people's understanding of our personality can vary depending on what aspect of us they have been exposed to. Whichever way, we must understand that we can not receive same level of treatment from everybody in our sphere of engagements. Knowing one's place can mean different things for different people. However, in general, it means that we should understand our position in a particular situation or context and act accordingly. It is essential to recognize our role and responsibilities to avoid overstepping boundaries and causing potential conflicts.

Knowing our place can apply to various aspects of life, including work, relationships, and social interactions. At work, we need to understand what our responsibilities are and refrain from interfering with the jobs and responsibilities of others, or taking on tasks that are not necessarily ours. In our relationships, we need to respect boundaries and avoid imposing our views or opinions on others. In social interactions, we need to be mindful of our behavior and avoid disrupting the flow of conversations and activities.

Understanding our place also means accepting our limitations and seeking help when needed. We cannot be experts in everything, and it is okay to ask for help or guidance from others who may be more knowledgeable or experienced in a particular area. Accepting our limitations also means being humble and open to learning new things that can help us grow in every area of our lives.

Knowing our place also means recognizing and respecting the hierarchy in different situations. There will always be people who have more authority or power than us, and we need to show them respect and reference. At the same time, we should ensure we comport ourselves in a way that commands the respect of those who are below us in the hierarchical order, creating order and regard for all.

Live your life, not your time.

DON'T JUST SURVIVE, LIVE.

In the face of severe adversity and difficulties, it is easy to slip into survival mode, where our focus is simply on getting through each day, but, there is a big difference between surviving and truly living. Surviving is just barely getting by, doing what we need to do to make it through the day. Living, on the other hand, means embracing life to its fullest, taking risks, and enjoying all that it has to offer.

Living means pursuing our passions, taking the time to appreciate the beauty around us, and slowing down to savor every moment. It means being present in each moment, letting go of distractions and worries, and truly engaging with the world around us. Living also means challenging ourselves, stepping out of our comfort zones, and taking risks that can help us grow and expand as individuals. This may involve trying new things, pursuing new interests, or pushing ourselves to achieve personal goals and milestones.

Life can be filled with challenges, obstacles, and roadblocks that can make it difficult to feel truly alive; however, when we embrace the spirit of living, we feel more engaged, inspired, and fulfilled in our lives. We feel more connected to our communities, our passions, and our purpose. We are more likely to look back on our lives with a sense of pride and satisfaction, knowing that we truly lived to our fullest potential. We all have the ability to go beyond mere survival and truly live our lives to the fullest, but we must be ready to go beyond our perceived limitations.

It is not enough to just live our time on earth, we must live our lives. We would not want to get to the end of our lives and recount our regrets when we should be reminiscing on our memories and the quality of life we have lived. We must take risks, pursue our passions, and embrace each moment, by doing so, we can experience a deeper sense of fulfillment and purpose in our lives. Don't just survive, live.

Your gifts are not useless.

USE YOUR GIFT.

Everyone has a gift and a unique talent that they possess. It could be a natural skill or a developed talent, every person has something that they can offer to the world. Unfortunately, many individuals tend to underestimate their abilities and may consider their gift as useless. It is easy to compare yourself to others and feel inadequate when you see others excelling in areas where you feel weak. This can lead to feelings of insecurity and can cause you to doubt your own capabilities. However, it is important to remember that each of us has our unique strengths and talents.

The fact that someone else seems to have the same gift as you and is doing better than you does not mean that you don't have a spot anymore. Your gift is not only valuable but also essential as it is uniquely yours and it was given to you for a purpose. Only you can bring a unique perspective, approach, and energy to your talent or skill that nobody else can, which makes it all the more special.

Our gifts or talents are meant to serves a purpose in the world, no matter how insignificant it might seem to us, or how useless we think it is. If your gift is the ability to make others laugh, you may think that this is a trivial thing to contribute to society. However, the joy and happiness you bring to people's lives can make a significant impact on their mental health and wellness. You must therefore hone that gift and ensure it serve the world the best way it should.

It is also important to recognize that our gifts can evolve and change over time. The things that we may have considered as useless in the past can turn out to be our strength later in life. For instance, an individual who thought their writing skills were useless may find themselves being a successful author or journalist in the future. A skill that was never reckoned with before, can become one the world direly need as a result of advancement and development. So, never despise your gift, use it, exhibit it with pride.

Always give your all.

ALWAYS DO YOUR BEST.

If we must by all means achieve our desires, if we must get to the zenith of all our endeavors in life, we must go beyond making efforts to do, be, or get, we must actually do our best, we must give our all to the process, to the craft, and that which we really want to achieve. Whether it is in our personal relationships, our careers, or our hobbies, striving to give our all in everything we do can bring us a sense of fulfillment and satisfaction that is hard to replicate in any other way.

We must understand that we have far more control over our lives than we often we think we do. While external factors may have an impact on the things we do, and potentially the outcomes, ultimately it is our own actions and choices that determines our level of success and happiness. When we commit to giving our best effort in everything we do, we are taking ownership of our lives and creating our own paths forward.

When we do our best, it does not only help us achieve our goals more efficiently, but it also fosters a sense of personal pride and accomplishment. When we know we have put our all into a project or task, we can rest easy knowing that we have done everything we could to achieve success. This can be especially helpful when faced with difficult or challenging situations, as it gives us a sense of control and purpose when everything else may feel chaotic or uncertain.

There will definitely be times when we fall short of our goals or feel like we could have done better, in those moments, it is important to remember that the goal is not necessarily perfection, but progress. When we constantly strive to do our best, we are continually growing, learning, and evolving as individuals, and that is something to be proud of. Sometimes, we don't get what we want because we have not given our best, so, as much as possible always do your best as everything may depend on it..

One step at a time.

FOLLOW THE PROCESS.

In a constantly evolving and changing world we are often in a frantic race towards wanting to achieve results as quickly as possible. While it is good to be proactive and goal-oriented, sometimes we forget to appreciate the importance of following the process. The process is the methodical and systematic approach to achieving a particular goal or result. It is a set of steps and procedures that must be followed to guide us to our desired outcome.

When we follow the process, we ensure that every step is carried out correctly and with due diligence, not trying to evade any procedures nor take a shortcut to our desired destination. It is crucial to realize that following a process is not just mere formality, it is a critical factor in ensuring that we get the best result out of our endeavours. A well-laid-out process enables us to see the bigger picture and evaluate every step of the way.

Some people may want to take shortcuts or bypass certain steps in a process to reach their goal faster. However, this approach can sometimes end up being counterproductive and result in undesired outcomes. When we skip steps, we may miss out on essential lessons, and details that could make a significant impact on the end result. It is important to remember that the process exists not just to show us the best route to our destination, but to ensure we become our best self on our way there.

We must possess such virtues as patience, focus, and discipline to be able to follow through on the process. It is not always easy to stick to the process when we feel we are behind on our plans, we may feel the urge to rush or take shortcuts which may eventually put us at risk of missing out in the end. However, when we commit to following the process, we are more likely to achieve our desired results maybe not faster, but definitely. We also gain the added benefit of acquiring knowledge and honing our skills along the way. We must embrace the process and know that it is our best shot at achieving our desires.

Be vulnerable.

STOP PLAYING TOUGH.

Life can be tough and challenging, and it is natural to want to appear strong and unbreakable in the face of difficulties and adversity. However, there is a difference between being resilient and playing tough. Playing tough can mean putting on a facade of strength and invincibility, even when we are struggling on the inside. The truth is, playing tough can take a toll on our mental and emotional well-being.

When we suppress our true feelings and try to appear unaffected by our challenges, we are not giving ourselves the space to heal and process our emotions. This can lead to increased stress, anxiety, and even depression. Playing tough can also prevent us from seeking help and support when we need it most. When we are caught up in the belief that we have to handle everything on our own, we may miss out on valuable resources and support networks that can help us navigate through difficult times with greater ease.

Instead of playing tough, it is important to embrace vulnerability and allow ourselves to be open and honest about our struggles. This does not mean that we have to be weak or helpless. Rather, it means recognizing that we all face challenges at times, and it is okay to ask for help or seek support when we need it. Admitting our vulnerabilities take courage, and it is a sign of strength, not weakness.

When we allow ourselves to be vulnerable, we open ourselves up to connection, empathy, and support from others. This can lead to greater resilience and a deeper sense of emotional well-being. Playing tough may seem like a good strategy in the short-run, but in the long-term, it can have damaging effects on our mental and emotional health. Embracing vulnerability and seeking support when we need it can help us cultivate greater resilience and well-being in the face of life's challenges.

Find your why.

WHAT IS YOUR WHY?

One very simple yet powerful question that we must ask ourselves which can help us to reflect on our deepest motivations and aspirations in life is, "why am I doing this?". It is a question that encourages us to go beyond superficial desires and explore the underlying values and beliefs that drive our actions and decisions. Understanding our "why" can be a transformative experience that helps us to find purpose and meaning in our lives. It can guide us towards pursuing and achieving our life goals and desires.

Our "why" can come in many forms. It might be a desire to create a better world for future generations, to help others in need, to pursue personal passions and interests, or to live a life that aligns with our values and beliefs. Whatever our why may be, it is essential that we take the time to identify and clarify it. Doing so helps us to set meaningful goals and priorities, make decisions with confidence, and align our actions with our true selves.

Identifying our why can also help us to navigate challenges and setbacks in life. When we have a clear understanding of why we do what we do, we are better equipped to persevere, go through difficulties and stay motivated on the journey to achieving our goals. In our fast-paced, constantly-changing world, it is easy to lose sight of our why. We might get caught up in the daily hustle and bustle, or feel overwhelmed by external pressures and expectations. When this happens, it is important to take a step back, reflect on our values and beliefs, and reconnect with our deeper sense of purpose.

Identifying our why is a never ending process of self-exploration and personal growth. We must always be honest with ourselves, open to new experiences and perspectives, and willing to take risks and pursue those dreams and visions that are dear to us. This will help us to live a life that is fulfilling, authentic, and true to who we are.

Never backward, forward only.

DON'T FIGHT BACK, FIGHT FORWARD.

Fighting back does not restore whatever has been damaged, it only deprives us of valuable time that would have been used in fighting forward towards our desires and goals. It is of utmost importance to focus on the future instead of dwelling on the past. Rather than getting caught up in the pain or resentment of an injustice or setback that we have faced in the past, we can choose to encourages ourselves to channel that energy into productive and positive action.

Moving forward requires courage, resilience, and perseverance. Instead of fighting back against a wrong that has already been done, fighting forward is a more fruitful and rewarding step to take towards the achievement and realisation of your goals and towards a better future. This is especially relevant in situations where it might be difficult or impossible to undo the wrong that has been done.

Fighting forward prioritizes progress over revenge, it urges us to look forward into the future and what it holds, rather than looking backward at the pain. While it may be tempting to retaliate or seek revenge against individuals or circumstances that have caused us hurt or harm, the mindset to fight forward reminds us to instead focus on achieving our own success, ascending the ladder to greatness, and creating positive change in the world.

Roy T. Bennett once said, “When the going gets tough, put one foot in front of the other and just keep going. Don’t give up.” Giving up is never an option in the fight for success. You can rise above the adversity that stare you in the face, you just have to focus on your goals, and push forward towards a better future. We must encourage ourselves and others to be optimistic and proactive, rather than reactive in the way we approach challenges and obstacles in life. On this journey to the future we don't quit, we don't look back, we only fight forward.

Make lemonades out of your lemons.

MAKE THE BEST OUT OF YOUR WORST.

Life does not always present us with our wishes anf desires, in fact, it sometimes drag us to the depths of the valley and rub our faces on the mud. Those times are always tough, dark, and dreary, but in every situation, there is always something positive to take out. Making the best of your worst is finding positivity and opportunities for growth in the face of challenging or difficult situations. Here are some tips that can help you make the best of your tough days:

1. Focus on what you can control: When faced with a difficult situation, it can be tempting to feel overwhelmed and helpless. However, it is important to remember that there are always things within your control, such as your attitudes, actions, and responses. By focusing on what you can control, you can regain a sense of agency and feel empowered to take action.

2. Look for opportunities for growth: Adversity often provides opportunities for personal growth and development. Instead of focusing on the negative aspects of a difficult situation, try to identify how you can learn from the experience and become a stronger, more resilient individual.

3. Practice gratitude: Sometimes, it can be difficult to find the silver lining in a challenging situation. However, one way to shift your perspective and find positivity is to practice gratitude. Take time each day to reflect on the things you are grateful for, no matter how small they may seem.

4. Seek support: When facing a difficult situation, it is important to seek support from others. Whether it is through talking to friends and family, or seeking professional help, having a strong support system can make all the difference in helping you make the best of your worst.

When you employ these strategies, you can find ways to make the best of any challenging situation, even if it seems like the worst thing that could happen. Remember that every setback is an opportunity to learn, grow, and become a stronger, more resilient individual.
