LIKE A SNAIL OR A CHEETAH, JUST GET TO THE FINISH LINE.
Imagine a race in which all participants that get to the finish line would receive same price irrespective of the time taken to arrive there. Imagine you don't have to go through the pressure of having to arrive at the finish line earlier than anyone else. I guess you would give a warm embrace to everyone who have come there to cheer you up; you would want to feel the track, the fresh air, explore, enjoy the moment and smile as you go.
Three key things to know in achieving anything in life is where you are, where you are going, and what you must do to get to where you are going. Everything else in between and the time it takes to get there is immaterial, but the experiences you gather, and the moments you savour along the way will determine so much of who you will become.
Life's real eseense does not lie in the fast paced achievement of dreams and desires, nor in the enormity of achievements, but in the effects and impacts of these achievements on you and the world around you.
In whatever you do, set your sight on the things which you so dearly aim for, ignore the speed at which you must get there, nor consider how fast someone else has achieved it, but focus on the process on your path to this dream. You don't have to be the strongest, fastest, most knowledgeable, or most intelligent, all you have to be is the person that never quits irrespective of how difficult it gets.
You must also remember that, it is not only the horse that gets to its destination despite its speed, the snail also gets to its destination no matter how late it is. Either you fly, run, walk, jump, or hop, never stop moving until you get there.
Happy new year.
