DON'T LIVE ON ASSUMPTIONS
Too many times, we respond to situations based on assumptions that are not true, or founded. We assume we are too weak to win, too feeble to run, or too naive to succeed. These assumptions limit our progress, stops us from moving forward, and plants fear in us. We have all been through some stages in our lives where these assumptions might have had adverse effects on us, but we have to know that until we know for a fact, a lot are assumed.
We have missed the opportunity to genuinely help someone in need, because we assumed they only wanted to extort us; we have lost the treasure of true friendship, because we assumed they did not care; we have lost some opportunities for growth, because we assumed we were not ripe enough to maximise the opportunities. Life should not be lived on assumption but on facts, and reality. We must choose to discover what is true and factual before we reach conclusions.
The truth is, assumptions feel safe. They are the blankets of safety in a raging storms, they keep us in the illusion of control, but safety is the enemy of growth, they deprive us from growing. You will never know the beauty that lies in the vast horizon if you don't launch into the vast sea. You will never know how deep the ocean is until you dive into it. You have to take a step forward to be able to move forward. You have to ignore set limitations, and set out to break boundaries.
It is high time you begin to dig up the dream you buried because society assumed it was impossible. Assumptions steal your joy, your connections, and your potential, they whisper lies in the guise of certainty. Do not nod in agreement to anything, rather question everything, and clear whatever you may see as doubts. You were not born for smallness, you were not born for just stories, you were born for reality, you were born for the real thing.
To a better you, Ka mikun John.
