Day 36 of 366
“The longer it takes to happen, the more you’ll appreciate it when it finally does.”
Inky Johnson.
Every man's pursuit in life is a successful ending, and in that pursuit of success a considerable time is expected for the process to yield maturity. The determinant of the waiting time will be, how big your dreams and visions are. Just like an Elephant has a longer gestation period before it can birth its offspring than that of a dog, so does the dreams, and visions of a big thinker takes longer time than that of a small thinker.
When we have big dreams, and goals for our lives, the process to achieving those goals are more difficult, more complex, and takes longer time, but we must be determined not to quit the process until we have achieved our dreams, because it is not the end result that ultimately matters, but what we become in the process. The process produces in us better versions of who we were before we started the journey, and when the breakthrough finally arrives, we will appreciate it more.
The longer the battle, the sweeter the victory; the longer the waiting, the sweeter the arrival. A gift gotten on a platter of gold, cannot be appreciated like a treasure dug from a fiery cave. When you have laboured, fought, and worked very hard to achieve a thing over a long time, you will appreciate that thing more when you get it, than if it was an easy ride.
The best things in these world are not easy to get, if you must get the best you must be ready to work, and wait; to go through the process and be true to it; you must be determined not to quit, because quitters never win, and winners never quit.
